If you could change one play in the history of any sport, what would it be?

I would have made Michael Jordan miss the buzzer beater jump shot in game 1 of the Chicago Bulls-Utah Jazz 1996-97 NBA championship game. I have nothing against Jordan, but I live in Utah and am tired of hearing Jazz fans gripe about not winning a championship. The other play I would change is when that dumb ass fan of the Chicago Cubs decided to reach his glove out and catch the ball. Wasn't his name 'Bartman' or something like that?? What an idiot.

I would change Joe Theismann's screen pass to Joe Washington in Super Bowl XVIII from an interception to a pumpfake then a bomb downfield to Gary Clark for the TD.

The deflection of Wayne and interception by Cromartie in last year's playoffs. It's not a gurantee that would make the Colts win, but that was the turning point.

Was that the play where the Titan's reciever was literally 2 yards from the endzone with the ball outstretched? That score would have won the Super Bowl? That is the play I was going to nominate but couldn't remember the details.

Reggie Miller making those points in the last minute of the game vs the Knicks in the eastern conference finals. (of course uncalled hard foul that would had stopped the pacers)

Eli's suck out pass and the amazing but lucky catch that continued last years superbowls final drive that won them the game.

Also, I would liek to go back and slap Belichick in the back of the head and remind him he doesnt need to film the plays to win because it doesnt even help that much in the end... or just go back to game 1 of last season and tell him how much of an idiot he is being since the league had just sent out a memo saying DONT DO IT ANYMORE.... for a genious he's pretty stupid.

I would have Bonds' throw to the plate in the 1992 NLCS get there in time for the out. It's been nothing but bad things for the Pirates since this play denied them a trip to the 1992 World Series.

I would prevent Roger Craig from fumbling in the 1990 NFC championship and costing us a threepeat. In second I have to go with changing that idiotic phantom pass interference call in 84 which prevented the Niners from getting a perfect season. Oh and third I'd have the Giants win game 6 in the 2002 WS. I'm still sore over that one.

did you not hear what Alou said this year? after all these years that Bartman went through that misery, Alou comes out and says he didn't think he could have caught that ball anyways. You should be blaming the pitcher for that melt down that cost the cubs the game and series

Either Norwood's field goal going in instead of wide right or The Music City Miracle being the forward pass that it was and not a lateral

Plus, if you watch the video there was probably 10 peopel aroudn him all trying to get that ball. He was just the one who got it.

Cubs had another game they could have won. He shouldnt have been treated thatway by the media. He was a fan simply going for a trophy.. the media should never be able to make a persons who is not in the public eye (celebrity) life that miserable. Bartmans hould be able to sue every media outlet that showed that clip and mentioned his name.

It's a tossup between

-Not calling that phantom foul against Bill Laimbeer in the '88 Finals, or

-Robert **** Horry missing that **** shot in Game 5 of the 2005 Finals.

Lebron James destroying the Pistons by himself last year. So pretty much him going for a slam dunk, missing, and then falling on his face. But that didn't happen so.............

Chalmers hitting the 3 to tie the game in the NCAA 08 finals.
Asante Samuel dropping the INT on the Giants final drive.
The Patriots not sacking Eli Manning when they had a perfect chance to and if he did David Tyree making that ridclous catch.
Ellis Hobbs leaving Plaxico Burres wide open (because he thought it was a slant pass then he turned around and TD giants :.(

Actually, they would have needed the touchdown and extra point just to TIE the Rams.

I can't think of one play that would have made the difference between winning or losing, except Romo getting tackled at the 1/2 line against Seattle couple years back after his bobbled hold. If he just dove a split second before the Seattle defender grabbed his legs, he would have crossed the goalline.

Michigan's Chris Webber calling a time out with none left against Duke for the championship, resulting in a turn over that pretty much sealed the game for Duke.

Colorado's Kordell Stewarts lucky "Hail Mary" to beat my Wolverines with no time left at the Big House.

Steelers's Franco Harris's "Emaculate" but illegal reception of the deflection off the big hit by Jack Tatum/George Atkinson, that cost us the AFC championship (Raiders)

Indeed, I still have no idea how Gonzalez got off the hook so easily. I'd never blame one person for the meltdown because it was a team effort, but Alex Gonzalez definitely should have made that play. (not even arguable, it is arguable that Alou would not have caught the ball that Bartman interfered with) It would have ended the inning and the game would have progressed with the Cubs' lead intact.

I would make it to where Derek Fisher's game ending shot against the spurs in 2004 didn't count, which would make sense, it really shouldn't have counted in the first place. They didn't start the clock right as he touched the ball.
