As we all know by now, Patriots just beat teh charger 12 to 21 today, thus procurring their Superbowel spot. But now that the Unbeatable team is in the superbowel, is anyone even going into the game expecting anything exiting. I mean, why watch it when you know Patriots are going to win? ITs like when the Yankees where in those World Series games, you always knew they where going to win, so it wasnt interesting anymore. This is the only reason I hate the Patriots, they too good for their own damn good.

Honestly, if it was like Chargers and Giants or Chargers and Packers, then that would be alot more interesting.

I don't care who is in it, I'll watch. And besides, as much as I dislike the Patriots it will be a historic game. If New England wins, it's the cap on a perfect season, if they lose, it's the ultimate choke. Either way, that's a moment I don't want to miss.

Wow. Don't you know that the Giants played the Patriots really close? Don't you know that the Packers have a legendary QB? Don't you know the Patriots almost got beat by the Ravens? Anybody could beat them, don't count either NFC team out. That's just arrogant.

If the giants win it could turn into one of the most epic super bowls in history. The giants hung with the pats for a majority of their game together. To think that they don't have every second of that game on film ready to dissect would be crazy, of course the Patriots have it as well...but I think the Giants would be hungrier. Who knows?

My prediction? Pats vs. Pack.

I think you underestimate the Packers. They'll win, they're winning right now, and they will sure give the Pats a run for their money.

Real football fans would watch it either way. If you claim to be a fan of the NFL and dont watch it, you are simply a girly man bandwagon fan. ;)

There aren't a ton of people who will NOT watch the SuperBowl just because the Patriots are playing. The Giants gave them a run for their money with the 38-35 game, how can they not do it again? Think about how bad you would feel if you decided not to watch the SuperBowl and the Patriots had one of the greatest losses in history? You would feel pretty bad for missing it.

I will be watching it for 2 reasons. One because I have wanted the patriots to lose ever since they lost to the Ravens. Thats right I said it, they LOST, ...to me anyway. F'in coach who gave you the authority to call timeouts? bah... I dunno, i just have been wanting to see the pats lose a game all season but hasn't happened.

And on a more serious note, Giants took out dallas (who I like), and now the packers (my fav team) and they better make it mean something on Feb. 3rd.

Everybody watches the superbowl, even if they aren't football fans. I remember watching it every year from when I was like 5 and I didn't even know what the hell was going on.

I really think Giants - Patriots (it's so weird even mentioning the Giants in the Superbowl...)will get horrible ratings. There is nothing that makes me think this will be close like their week 16 encounter, Belichick has two weeks to prepare, goodnight Giants. Nothing about this says it is a big game and the only way you could make this interesting is to somehow tie in the Yankees and Red Sox rivalry. I might watch the last few minutes to see history being made but nothing else is remotely interesting about this matchup. If the Giants do get some divine intervention and win I'll admit I was wrong and give them the praise they deserve but it's pretty much set in stone the Pats will be 19-0.

Let me get this straight, only after the Pats bet the Chargers that means they're distended to win the SB? Like SD was the big challenge and now they're home free? :P

So the Giants don't deserve any praise now after becoming the NFC champions?

I like the SB commercials.

The halftime show will probbaly be wretched...

I expect Tom Petty to start playing and then the usual crew of Mary J. Blige, Aerosmith, Gloria Estefan, Justin Timerlake, Janet Jackson will come on stage and do dumb stuff - all to lip-synched music.

How can anyone who is a football fan, even a casual one, NOT watch the SB? Hell, even most non-fans tune in to watch it every year. It's just such an awesome event, and a good excuse to sit around doing nothing but drinking and eating good take out.

I watch it every year, never miss one. I have for more than two decades.

I want everyone to root against the Giants. It seems to be working for them!

No one said they were gonna beat the Buccaneers

No one said they were gonna beat the Cowboys

No one said they even had a shot at the Packers.

Keep it coming people, keep it coming.

Well, the Super Bowl is only 10 minutes from where I live, so it is going to be tough to not be able to watch it with all the garbage that will be everywhere. I can see the stadium from where I live.

No one said they would beat the Pats. And look what happened. I highly doubt that the SB game will be anything like the game in week 17.

Bucs haven't been good since Lynch,Sap and crew left to play in other teams

No one said they were gonna beat the Cowboys

Cowboys did horrible in Dec,it was prolly a 50/50 match

No one said they even had a shot at the Packers.

Packers made mistakes on a drive with over 20 yards in penalties,Giants took advantage of the Packers mistakes

Keep it coming people, keep it coming.

What are you gonna say when the Giants lose?

Even as a Redskins fan and a Giants hater, I have to say the only way this year's Superbowl could be interesting is if the Giants pull the upset. A huge upset in the Superbowl would be far more memorable than a predictable win, even if that win solidifies an undefeated season.
