I think he is a tremendously overrated player who shines in a weak conference. He's a talent, no doubt, but he's not the best player in the league (yet), and certainly not the best player ever.

Yes he is. It kinda annoys me when some experts say he's the fourth best player on the court in these games. Which means Ginobli>LeBron, which is crazy to me. I wouldn't even put Parker over LeBron. Though I will say Duncan is better.

Yes he is, andin my opinion the most talented all-around player in the game right now. He is the sole reason Cleveland even makes the playoffs, no other player can carry a time as well as he does.

He's good, butI don't think he's great yet. He's got loads of talent, but the guy is still too young that he's not going to be playing his best ball yet. Once he does, than I think it will be fair to say he's the best in the league, not right now...

Lebron may have have the most talent, but right now Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili are all playing better basketball.

I think Lebron will be in the top 10 greatest players ever in basketball he just needs some time to get better. For everybody who thinks he is overrated your wrong.3 years ago the cavs had one of the worst records in the league and now their in the finals that just shows how good Lebron is :P

For his age, he's outperforming guys like Jordan, Magic, Kobe, so he's awesome, people need to understand though, he won't be playing like these guys in their prime, but he's on his way.

That boils down to the team more than actual skill and talent. Parker, Duncan and Ginobili are playing better because they have eachother for support and their styles complement eachother well. Meanwhile for Lebron it might as well be 5 on 1.

Which is why Kobe is sitting at home BEGGING AND CRYING for ALLSTAR calibur teammates because he knows he cant win on his own. LeBron is perfectly fine with the scrubs he has and he has made it to the Finals. He's the second best player in the league behind Tim Duncan. But when you have no consistent teammates, its easier for a great defensive team like the Spurs to focus on him and shut him down.

The NBA was more physical and lot more competitive in the days of Jordan, when the East could really contend with the West.

First, let me say that I like LeBron over Kobe with the same font only reversed, but c'mon na, if the Lakers weren't a Western Conference team, they woulda made the playoff and probably woulda made it the Finals. But, other than that I agree about LeBron no having any problems with his teammates(or atleast not vocalizingthose problems yet).

you say Lebron is second best player in the league  he's not even 3rd. sorry man but he hasn't proven anything yet, so he got to the finals what an accomplishment when you're in the east and you get to face scrub teams like the wizards and nets thats nothing to brag about however his clutch game against Pistons is definitely something to brag about, but what has he done in the finals? he has been brick city, you wanna see clutch in the finals watch game 4 lakers vs pacers when Shaq fouls out of the game in overtime and look who comes to carry the team

I don't think the original thread starter was talking about his basketballing skill. As Tall as he is I would have to say yes, Were it not for Basketball most NBA players would be social outcasts.

Lebron is the best player in the finals right now but is playing horrible. If he wants a championship ring he needs to step up like D Wade did last year. Go Dwyane Wade!!!!!!

So LeBron gets blamed for trying to be a team player and Kobe gets blamed for being a ballhog. What will satisfy you guys? If LeBron was a ballhog and actually played like he card, not only would drop 35+ per game, everyone would criticize him. So instead he tries to get his garbage teammates involved.

That is his only flaw. Don't blame LeBron for having an easy path to the Finals, he got his team to #2 seed and got the easy way, even if they were the 8th seed he would've beaten Detroit and went on to beat Chicago, then probably NJ in the conference finals and everyone would still hate on him.

You bring up Kobe?..Since Shaq left the only thing he's good for is joining T-Mac as the only great swingman that will not get out the first round.

The reason why Lebron isn't dropping 35 in this series is because he simply can't, have you seen brons shooting percentage he hasn't done jack squat this series, did you WITNESS all those missed 3 balls in the game by him, the problem with lebron right now is not that he doesn't know how to take over games, he just doesn't have IT yet like a kobe or a jordan and when I say he doesn't have IT yet I mean his jumpshot is still not perfected give him time and it will be automatic but as of now don't even say he is the best when he hasn't dont diddly squat in the finals, he's still young and learning

He's playing San Antonio.

Where have you been all season?Matter of fact, where have you been since 2004? They are the best defensive team. Now, do you realize how hard it is to beat San Antonio in a 5 on 5? Sh!t just ask Phoenix. They have 3 all-stars with one(maybe2)being a future hall of famer, sixth man of the year who could be starting anywhere else in the league and aside from Ray Allen, Michael Redd and Kobe...they have the best shooters.

Where is Phoenix? Oh yeah thats right...on vacation. So do you really expect a 22 year old, who has no teammates to actually do good? Idk if you saw Game 5 against the Pistons but, he doesnt need to shoot in order to dominate. If he wanted, he could drive in whenever he wanted. Give LeBron some time and he'll develop a shot, and if Danny Ferry decides to putpeople that can make open shots, they'll be unstoppable. Atleast someone who can touch rim on a layup..

Just cause he doesnt have a jumper doesnt means he's not the best in the game. The only thing he needs to learn is that he needs to be more aggressive and then he'll be a problem for everyone. If you've seen LeBron in attack mode, he's unstoppable. For some odd reason, he didnt bring it out against San Antonio, maybe he gave up cause he knew they had no chance.
