It's ignorant to say just one position is the most important out of all the different sports. Every sport is different, obviously some take more effort and skill then others but there is no true answer because of the difference. That is what makes sports so great is the variety.

I dunno, I think goalie (soccer/hockey) and QB are equally as hard/spectacular to play. Also pretty much any defensive position in soccer located on the left or center or offensive postion in football on the right and center are the most demanding.
in any particular game, it would have to be STARTING PITCHER...but we all agree that since a particular starter can only start 1 out of every 5 (sometimes 4) games, it can't be the "best" position.
so, yeah QB is the most important position to have a standout player fill it.
