Too sad to see such a great player like him not able to play because of **** injuries...

I remember when he could score 32pts a game, with 6 boards and 5 assists...(in 2003)

I'm sure that if he hadn't known all these injuries, he would have been today the best player in the league (yes, better than Kobe)...

Do you think he's over ? I do, and it makes me so sad.:x !

Great question but no I think he has some years left if he and the medical staff can somehow make his health consistent throughout the season. When he's healthy he can be one of the top 5 players in the NBA he's almost unstoppable when he's 100% healthy.

Like you said, it's just the injuries. If he could stay injury-free, he'd be considered an elite talent. Top five, maybe; top ten, easily. He can handle, shoot, score, board, et cetera. I loved T-Mac for a long time and he began to fade from these injuries. If things turn around and he stays healthier, he should have a few years in him still. It reminds me of Ken Griffey Jr. Junior was an incredible talent, but he just got injury after injury. He's still one of the best hitters ever and if he stayed healthy, he could have been considered the best of all time I think. He surely had the stick and his catches at the wall more than proved that he had the glove as well. Injuries are inevitable and devastating. It's a shame.

If he's lucky, maybe his career after injury could have a resurgence like Grant Hill.

If he can put his ego aside and realize he's not a #1 scorer any longer and he'll have to play either #2 or #3 guy, he can be a tremendous player still. [QUOTE="Luciole_fr"]

I don't think he's over, but I think he'll be much worse than before. He'll sort of turn into a better Arenas, now though.

He's done in Houston.

I think he could do great in more of a rebuilding situation

He and AI have a similar situation

If they would accept there no longer the "best" they could be big contributors

T-Mac and AI are in 2 completely different situations. T-Mac just can't stay healthy. AI just refuses to acknowledge that there are other players on his team.

That's true and AI needs to recognize that he may have to be a bench player like the other young bench stars like Ben Gordon and Jason Terry.

Is he over? No, but are we going to see the T-Mac from his Orlando days when he pretty much dominated I doubt it. Hope he recovers but basketball is just so hard on the body that I can't believe play as long as they do even now. I mean most of us who play ball start when we are kids and then play organized ball through high school or even college. Then add on 82 season games plus playoffs in the NBA, and maybe even Olympic teams and by the time they are done they put so many miles on their bodies they probably feel like Jell-O afterwards.

Honestly, nobody can honestly know for sure. this surgery is difficult for some, and not so with others. He could return like jason Kidd, and Amare Stoudamire did as am All-Star, or come back but not be the same like Chris Webber, or be thrust into retirement like Penny Hardaway. I hope he regains his all-star form, cuz he used to be neck and neck with Kobe, and now....well....you know

I agree with that too. He used to be just as good as Wade and Lebron when he was healthy.

Agree. That means he should come to the Suns and have their career resurrected like Grant Hill and Shaq. The Suns did great wonders on those aging stars and I could see the same thing happening to T-Mac. The Suns med staff will restore T-Mac's former luster in no time

It's all up to Tmac if he will still be passionate to get over those injuries and comeback to win.

The last time he took the court, he looked awful - he couldn't jump or move without looking like he is in pain. I hope he can recover from that.
