Do you guys think there is any hope of the Lakers keeping Kobe? I mean they better hope so, cause they can't trade him to Portland or Seattle for their draft picks because he doesnt want to go there and he has a no-trade clause, it'll only work if they trade him somewhere he wants to go. Unless he has a change in heart and decides to play in Portland or Seattle. They'll have to just settle for a bunch of role players.

Then its time for my boy Lamar Odom to shine once he leads the team.

But...that'll never happen and he'll never be able to because of Mr. I don't want to develop trust with my teammates unless they're all-stars.

Most likely to a winning team. But no winning team is going to want him because he's going to destroy theteam chemistry. If Kobe was smart, which Kobe is not. He would stay one more season, show teams that he can use his teammates and doesnt care about scoring aslong as they win, then more teams would want him. Despite all the praise he gets from other coaches, none want him because he doesnt like sharing the ball and tries to do everything on his own. He's more than welcome to come to Philly even though I hate him, but since the East is so weak atleast he'll bring us into the playoffs. Maybe even the Finals.

If the Lakers get Jermain Oneal then Kobe might want to stay. I read at realgm.com that Jermain Oneal wants to go to the Lakers but the Lakers dont want to give up both Bynum and Odom.

Well then I guess they're looking at options to trade Kobe. Nobody else on the Lakers has any value besides those two players. Kobe will not get along with any non-allstar so trade them for O'Neal. But noo, for some reason Laker management thinks Kobe is going to turn into a team player overnight.

If Kobe is traded he wouldn't go to a losing team, that would make no sense it would be like him staying in LA, he would definitely go to a winning team. I wouldn't be mad if Kobe went to the east or the Clippers, I think the Clips are in need of someone to compliment Brand and the Clippers have a team that need a scorer who can take over close games

i don't know what Kobe's thinking, but i think he should opt for the Eastern teams. i know i sound a little over the top, but with that kind of fire power and some reliablesupport ( which he badly needs NOW ), he couldmake his way to the Finals absolutely no problem.

that's what i think anyway.

I been saying it all along, Kobe's done in LA, the best trade partner would be Chicago, they can offer up a lot of talent, and make Kobe happy with a championship contender type team.

He'll want to go to Detroit like Webber didso he can have a another go atthe championship, or lose to a one-man team in the conferance finals.

And once Kobe leaves, it'll be Kwame Brown's turn to shine. He's the NBA's to prospect at the moment.

I actually like this move by Kobe, he doesn't want waste his prime plus his desperately trying to win a ring without Shaq...and this trade demand means he either goes to a contender(probably in the East) or a big trade for the Lakers: maybe J. O'Neal, Kidd, or KG.

hahahah @ kwame

and Detroit is giving up anyone for a ballhog. If you haven't noticed, they are the only true team in the East. everyone else is led by one player. Which is why Kobe shouldnt care if he comes to the East. cuz then he can ballhog all he wants and still make it to the finals.

He won't get traded, that would just be ridiculous. I can't imagine Kobe not in a Laker's uniform and the teams he wants to go to don't offer a lot of talent to be traded.

The rumor in L.A

Kobe to the Bulls for

Ben Gordon and Wallace, Luol Deng, and their 9th overall pick.

I'd take that trade (I'm a big Lakers fan)

Yeah and why don't we include the 1st and 2nd pick, KG and Chris Paul just for fun? Not happening don't you see the Bulls are already a force and T. Thomas hasn't develop yet plus they have the 9th overall pick, they just be happy taking the pick and built themselves a powerhouse.

The Bulls will probably trade 2 players for Kobe, either Deng and Gordon, Nocioni and Gordon, Wallace and Gordon, plus the #9 pick, that'll be the center of the trade, maybe they'll swap some other players too, but not 3 of their starting 5.

I would do anything but trade Ben Wallace, If Kobe is traded to the Bulls he's gonna need Big Ben for Defense, he's like the glue for them just like he was for the Pistons.

He should have been a LA Clipper. anyways if he gets traded it would most likely be to the east HE WONT LAND ON THE CAVS WITH JAMES OR THE HEAT WITH SHAQ AND WADE so those 2 teams can be ruled out because if they trade him to the cavs they would want James. same thing with the heat the lakers would want Wade.

Which ever team Kobe is traded to isn't going to be a winning team, he is going to have to make it a winning team. The lakers will end up taking key players from that team and handing them Kobe. So it's best he is traded to a team with a big man that can take control of defense sine Kobe is pretty much all the offense you need right now.

Oh and Kobe will never go to Detroit. The lakers would want Billups and right now Billups is a free agent and not to mention if they got him to sign they wouldn't trade him and another key player for Kobe Bryant. He would destroy their team chemistry because of how selfish he is.

I'm a huge Bulls fan and I don't really want Kobe coming to Chicago. Don't get me wrong, Kobe is in my eyes easily the best player in the NBA. And no, its not because he's a ball hog or selfish, because he has to be with the team he's got. I just wouldn't be willing to give up any of the Bulls young talent in Gordon, Deng, Nocioni, Hinrich, or whoever else is rumored because they have such a bright future with who they've got.

What team has a need for a two guard with agood player or two and a mid-first round draft pick to offer? Hm...Hornets dealing Stojakavic and David West with our13thoverall pick for Kobe? Naaa...we'd lose our other rebounder in the middle. Plus, I don't think the Lakers would make a deal with the Hornets that doesn't involve Chris Paul, who we can't possible trade away. I actuallydon't like Kobe, but I wouldn't cry if he was on my team.

I think the Bulls would look great with Kobe. Wallace and Kobe together would be sick!!!! They could trade gordon and hinrich and a couple of draft picks for Kobe. Kobe, Wallace, Deng, and a couple of role players would make them a great team I think.

Blah I'm just saying this because I'm a Celtics fan but I think a trade with the Celtics could work out possibly.

Boston: Paul Pierce (L.A. Native), Ryan Gomes, Gerald Green, and Wally Szczerbiak.

Los Angeles: Kobe Bryant

I actually think the Lakers would benefit more from this trade than Boston would. Knowing how crazy Danny Ainge is with management, I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled this one off.

Yea they are but it doesn't look like KG wants to go to Boston. If KG told the Timberwolves management that he wouldn't mind going to Boston, the T-Wolves would pull off the trade then. Instead KG says that if the T-Wolves are gonna trade him, why trade him to another bad team? He says he'd rather just stay with the T-Wolves than to move to another bad team. Which makes a lot of sense to me.

But with Kobe on the other hand, I don't think Kobe would mind coming to Boston if the Lakers and Celtics were interested in making a trade. Kobe knows that he's loved out here, so he may accept the trade, going to Boston. Plus Kobe has a waaaaaaayyy better chance of going to the Finals again with the Celtics, than he does with the Lakers.

I think a trade with Boston is possible but not likely. He has a better chance going to Chicago or Pheonix, than he does with Boston in my opinion.
