Does Kurt Warner deserve to be in Hall of Fame conversation. He is a 2 time MVP, led two Rams teams to the Super Bowl, won one of them, led the Cardinals to the Super Bowl and has the third highest passer rating of all time and second on the highest passing accuracy list. Thoughts...?

He had a few years where he didn't start, that will hurt him. I think if he locks up this Superbowl, his chances are pretty good.

Dude with out a doubt kurt warner deserves to be in the HoF he's 3-0 in NFC championships with 2 different teams, he doesnt choke away nfc championship games and puke away the superbowl when he finally doesnt choke like Donavan MCCHOKE in philly does

He has proven to be a very good QB. I don't know about cumulative stats but he's up there in efficiency and passer rating.

Yes, The most definitive HOF thought I have heard, was from steve buckly, from MA,works for the boston herald, and is a guest on the afternoon program of sports radio WEEI in boston. He is a baseball writer with a vote in the Baseball hall of fame. He said, beyond numbers, championships and location, the first thing you have to look at is when you look at the era of that sport,do they come to mind, and prominently. And when I look at this decade, even in his bad years, when i think QB I think warner. So yes,he belongs.

When it's all said all said and done, hypothetically would you rather have had the career of Kurt Warner or Dan Marino?

warner. has rings and pulled himself from nothing. marino has nothing, and he was THE BEST:lol:LMAO. Took the dolphins job then quit because they did not care what he said, just wanted the face. At least the mannings have won. Marino is a fraud, plain and simple.

Warner for sure. He won it all. If I were Dan, man I'd always feel a bit bad.

i would say no, he did good this year and he did well in other years... but i don't see how a player could be put in the hall of fame when he was benched.. although i wouldn't be disappointed if he did get in, i just think there are other players who deserve it more... they were saying that T.D. (terrell davis) wouldn't get in, he among others should be put in front of kurt..

NOTE - i could rattle off a bunch of names...

just my thoughts

I'd say so. He was an undrafted player who worked overnight at a grocery store stocking and went to play in the AFL and then transcended to the NFL. He wasn't one of those spoiled first round QB's. He literally worked his way up to two (now three) Super bowl experiences and turned a dying franchise (Rams) into Super bowl winners.

I'd say he should get in. He has the stats and the ring. I will say that there's a bunch I'd put in over him though... So yeah, Warner is a HOF'er, but I'm not so sure he's going in on the first ballot.

I don't know...at this point we aren't even sure if Terrell Davis is going to get into the hall of fame and from 02-07 he was on scrub status....so......it is going to be tough...

montana is a proven player.. warner is not.. i can see your argument from my statement.. but comparing warner to montana might be the funniest thing i have read or heard all day... there are too many proven players who haven't got into the hall of fame, and if you neglect them and warner gets in that would be upsetting.

You're obviously not aware of Kurt Warner's body of work if you think he's not proven

3 Superbowls (so far he's one and one)
Superbowl MVP
2 time NFL MVP (tied with Montana)
4 Pro Bowl Appearances
Only QB to bring two different teams to Superbowl
Third highest rated QB in league history
Second most accurate QB in NFL history

So he's got the championships and he has the stats. Also add in that the two teams he brought the to the Superbowl are pitiful franchises that haven't been able to get out of their own way for decades and Warner brought them to the promise land.

His down years were due to injury, nothing more.

It's a tough call. I'd lean towards yes, even if his team loses in this Super Bowl. He may have only 3-5 great seasons (for whatever the reason, injuries I know), but they're about as good as they can get in general. He has some very important individual awards to help his cause. If he wins this SB, I'd say he is a lock. if he doesn't, it makes it a harder case to argue...though I would still argue for him.

If there was a thread about McFlabb blowing his chance at HoF (Like he even had a case for him to be in it ), without a doubt Warner is getting in...

I'm not too familiar with the football HOF. Is longevity not a requirement for enshrinement?

I tihnk Warner absolutely deserves to make the Hall of Fame. However, AFL time and years on the bench does NOT help.

I have always been a big fan of kurt Warner sence the Rams won it all back in 99, Seeing kurt is back on top on a different team no question he will be in the HOF.

yes, although no one seems to recall his lackluster days on the Giants. His work for the Rams, and now the Cardinals will get him in.
