First game Kobe pulls up and fades away over Marion: in and out

Second game Kobe drives and dishes it out to Sasha for the win: in and out.

they need to win their next game against Memphis. This is ruining my holidays.:evil:

Oh and Farmer got injured and will be out till Christmas maybe.

Haha, they can win the next two and make up for it, i'm cool with it because they still had a chance to win both games and IMO they played like crap on the road.

This is a joke thread right? 21-5 and your complaining about close losses against good teams during an east coast road trip? Dude, you LA boys are spoiled!

Well if you listen to the LA media they're ripping the Lakers for not playing Defense and that's why they lost in the Finals so i am worried :?

As a Lakers fan, their play as of late is very concerning. The players around Kobe haven't played well, and overall the Lakers are sloppy as hell defensively at this point. But on the bright side, they are still 21-5, and it's still only December. There is alot of time left to work out their defensive issues, which I think is the main weakness of the Lakers. You get that defense fixed up a little bit, you have a team that can challenge the Celtics.

Try being a Knicks fan, thats what we would call good luck... having chances to win the game at the end, meaning being in games that late.

I was dissapointed by their two recent losses, but then I thought about their season start and it's still amazing. We are still third in the league, behind Boston and Cleveland, but that can soon change. And don't forget about the Christmas game, whether Lakers still have a worse record than Boston, that game will determine a lot.

21-5 or not, Lakers losing two in a row should brings some concerns. It's the Lakers! They shouldn't be losing two in a row nor should they be trying to make game winning shots or tie it for OT!

They actually played quite well against the Magic, with Kobe and Fisher pouring in 67 points combined. The Magic are easily one of the best teams in the league though.

Can we just start the playoffs now so Boston and LA can go at each other again?

Exactly, they should have whooped the Heat, the Magic ok maybe but they still should not have been in that position.

Yeah and blowing that 20 point lead at the Lakers hurt as well.

Well better have that bad stretch in december than in june.

They'll get into the playoffs as no. 1 or 2 in the West, then the real thing starts.

Sorry, but I can't feel bad for the Lakers. The way they got Gasol they deserve to suffer here and there...

I agree with those concerned about the Lakers. They don't look "good". , as compared to Boston or Cleveland for that matter. Boston is playing like they lost the Title last year and have something to prove.

At the start of the season the Lakers looked very good, including the defense, now they suck at D and have lost to teams like the Pacers, Sacramento, Miami and it took late game heroics by Kobe tonight to beat Memphis! After 2 losses the Lakers should have crushed Memphis! I think Boston or the Cav's would have.

I know its early but it matters because one of the Laker team goals as stated by Phil Jackson was to have the best record in order to get home court advantage throughout the playoffs......every game counts. The way they are playing now, even if L.A. makes it to the finals Boston or Cleveland will beat them. L.A. is just not tough enough yet, physically or mentally.

They need to get it together now, because Kobe has a lot of miles on him and the window is starting to close(I noticed that Wade out jumped him twice during jump ball situations). Lebron, Wade, CP3 and others or just approaching their prime years. And there are a lot of good, young, athletic and tough teams coming up (N.O., Portland, Utah, Atlanta, Cleveland, Orlando..etc). With an aging super-star the Lakers will not be able to keep up the next 2-3 years, they better get it done real soon.
