And this is important because??? The Patriots nation caught Tom Brady with a Yanks cap on...who cares...they're people and can cheer for whomever...just remember which team you're playing for when your season starts up...

If he was born in NY or lived there a good portion of his life, there's nothing wrong with it.

It's the people of Cleveland who cheer for him and pay him, plus he likes the Cowboys too. Just a bandwagon hipster.

If he wants to be a Yankee fan, that's cool. But wearing a NY cap to the Yankee/Indian game in Cleveland, that's not. It's an insult to the city that loves him.

ya can't criticise someone for liking a team since childhood. that doesn' t make sense. he doesn' t own any allegiance to Cleveland when it comes to other sports. Playing basketball for the cavaliers is his job, and it doesn't mean he has to love everything cleveland.

I was reading a story on foxsports.com and they were saying how TONS of people in and around Cleveland were saying how mad they were about it. That's dumb that they are mad about it! I mean, CC Sabathia said he would wear a Raiders jersey to a Browns game because he loves the Raiders. Those people need to get over it.

yeah no worries just found it to be a bit comical.

he's not even from NY thats the thing that makes me laugh is NY is like the "Casual" Baseball fans team. they can be from Minnesota and if they kinda like Baseball they root for NY cause there always good. I think for shame for him for being from Ohio and playing for Clevland he would go to a game and have a NY hat, thats downright childish. your a millionaire who cares if you want the Yankees to win your in Clevland you play for clevland show some support baby.
And this is important because??? The Patriots nation caught Tom Brady with a Yanks cap on...who cares...they're people and can cheer for whomever...just remember which team you're playing for when your season starts up...tryfe_lyn
that was cause brady lost a bet he's a Redsox fan though.

it's differant when your the most important Player in the city and it's not like Lebrons from NY (wich would be understandble) he's from Ohio and Clevelands in Ohio and the fact Clevland might win the series. He's a franchise player and he likes the yankees it's not like he lost a bet like alot of athletes(brady made a side bet with Weis if he lost he had to wear a ND hate if he won Weis had to use a Michagan hat(for a collage game vs both teams last year) thats differant but this is kinda foolish when your a Millionaire and a Franchise player to not support your team.

No, NY is the hipster/bandwagon baseball team. I know a lot of people liked them when i was in HS and i live in LA. If i ever went for anyone other than the Dodgers it was the Red Sox because i knew the curse was BS and i hate the Yankees.

it doesn't matter where you are born. The Yankees are a worldwide recognized loved team--from japan to here in the US. I know people from japan and china and hawaii who are yankee fans. it's easy to like the yankees cause of they're history and amazing players. while it's true that people who jump on bandwagons are sad, I can't deny someone from jumping since the yankees do attract fans from all over.

how do "YOU" know they are just "fans" and don't know anything about baseball. That's pretty arrogant and ignorant for you to say. what makes you so sure they're not die hard fans? that's pretty pathetic on your part to think that way.

So what if he's from Ohio? If he's been a Yankees fan all his life, why should that change come draft day?

Bandwagon fans can't be diehard as they don't know what it means to lose. They simply follow the team that wins the most. They have no passion for the game or team.

Making assumptions are stupid. No one know what it means to lose, so please stop making it that die hard fans "know" what it's like to lose since the only ones who know how it feels to lose are the players. sad really---time to relax and realize that this is just a sport---it will go with or without you. :)

He can cheer for any other city in any other sport except for basketball.
