And his lazy self arrogance is now harming D-Wade. And for Bosh they can just get rid of him he is over rated anyway.

Miami Heat might go down as the biggest debacle in recent sports team history. And no matter what Lefraud James has ruined his career forever in the public and media. Even if they eventually win something everyone knows he is a lazy sellout scrub now.

Lefrauds market value and money making marketability is dropping lower and lower by the day.

The Heat are terrible cus they don't wanna work hard to become a good team. That's why they don't want Riles to come back, cus he'll whip their asses into shape. Team is a joke and I love it. LeBJ always has an excuse. First it was he had no teammates even though he won 60 games with them and now he's on a team with all nba performers and everyone wants to blame the coach. I wish he would just shut the hell up.

He is lazy and he has spread that to D-Wade now and they are looking for easy ways out of this.

I have supported him for a while now. And while I still don't think it is a big deal that he signed with Miami, this act is wearing a little thin.

You can't buy chemistry. That plus the fact that they have no bench and they consistently get out hustled has resulted in them being not too powerful. Pretty funny because Cleveland is only a game and a half behind them. But hey, it's early in the season. There plenty more basketball to be played.

James and Wade play just like they do during the All-Star game and Olympics - that bizarre taking turns with the ball thing and stand around doing nothing when it isn't your turn.

LeBron was stupid in leaving Cleveland. Not only he tarnished his legacy but the Cavaliers actually have a better supporting cast than Miami does. Though I don't see the Cavaliers winning a championship any time soon, but they are playing well considering what went on this past summer.

This to the 100x. On top of that, who is the leader of this team? There needs to be 1 guy above all who says "This is what we need to do to win, period." One of them needs to show some sack and put the squad on their back.

Come on people...

What's fraudulent about him? That he's not MJ? That he's not Kobe? That he did what he thinks helps him win a championship? Certainly it's not his basketball abilities, as he's easily at least the second best player on the planet. Who cares if he's arrogant? Most athletes are.

There's no reason to crucify the Heat this early in the season. The Heat will improve once they figure out their offensive identity. It's obvious that neither Wade or Lebron are sure what to do once the ball leaves their hands. The offense needs a clear leader, which means Wade needs to realize that Lebron is the best player on the floor and the offense needs to flow through him.

This is correct. Its what Ive been saying on the Heat Watch thread but shorter. I don't know about Lebron being the best player on the team though. I think him and Wade are pretty even.

Ya know whats funny are all these haters and people laughing at the Heat but theyre all gonna sounds pretty dumb once the Heat start winning and (most likely) make it to the Finals either this season or next season.

I just feel bad for their coach. Like Ive said before coaches get fired way too easy. Just because they havent destroyed every team they've played all of a sudden its the coaches fault  The NBA has to be the stupidest basketball league in the world.

The Heat play the Cavs on Thursday and I hope Lebron gets a triple-double or hits a gamewinner to really stick it to Dan Gilbert for that ridiculous pre-schooler style letter he wrote

Well if they do choke we can at least laugh at D-Wade for being a wise ass and talking about how much he missed the O'Brien trophy  I won't defend Lebron, but i think the media has something to do with it, you hear since High School how awesome you are and all this hype, eventually you start to believe it and think your farts are made of gold.

James and Wade play just like they do during the All-Star game and Olympics - that bizarre taking turns with the ball thing and stand around doing nothing when it isn't your turn.

He should have stayed with Cleveland. He had a better supporting cast and they signed Byron Scott who is 10x a better coach than Mike Brown. If he stuck with the team a little longer he could have won a title down the line. He may win a couple titles down the line with The Heat but even winning just one for Cleveland would have made him a legend. Our views and Lebrons views are totally different though, he wants to have fun and be with his friends in Miami and we want to see him live up to his name as the "King" which he has not proven yet

I didn't think much of LeBron bumping into Coach Spolstra after that Dallas loss. Then I saw a Youtube video showing LeBron doing the same thing to Mike Brown a few years ago. That's twice he did this, the same way, after a loss. So no matter what LeBron or Coach Spolstra says, it was intentional.

Not a fun team to watch.

However, it's early. They have sucked so far, but I'm willing to give them a little more time before calling them a "failure." In fact, I'm willing to give them a season or two. I never expected them to win it all this year, but if they don't make considerable strides in years 2 and beyond, then yeah, failures.

Most players who leave don't drop the pants of their previous city in a televised special.

Its not because he left but how he did it. That tv special just topped everything along with him quitting during some of the playoff games.

No. Most people on this forum totally miss the point when LeBron is called out for leaving or doing anything wrong. Everyone reverts to, "They are mad because he left the Cavs to go to another team."

There's no point in trying to make sense of it unless you grew up in the area and grew up a Cleveland fan. You wouldn't fully understand.

I don't think he regrets leaving Cleveland and never will. I think he was sold on that idea for a long time. What I think he'll come to regret, if he hasn't already, is not signing with New York, where he could have been the man. But by multiple indications, these three wanted an easy path. New York wouldn't have been as easy.

I'm not saying the Heat are done by any means. And I don't really care that much about LeBron. I don't hate him and I don't like him. But you guys are totally and completely missing why people are hating LeBron now. You think it's just because he decided to sign with another team? That's not it at all. From the moment LeBron came to Cleveland, he went about playing basketball like he was the next Michael Jordan. He promised that city a championship and they believed him. He became the face of Cleveland and everyone in Cleveland loved him. The organization bent over backwards bringing in players that he wanted on his team. They did everything they could to give him support and they treated him as good as any organization could. Even after several years of dropping playoff games, the Cleveland fans always supported him. Typically when a big free agent goes and signs with another team it's either for more money or it's because the player doesn't like that organization. LeBron left a city he was supposed to carry on his shoulders. Instead he decided to leave because he thought the Heat gave him a better chance at winning a championship. That really remains to be seen. But the fact is he turned his back on a city that gave him everything. That's why people hate him. Not just Cleveland fans even. This guy walks around acting like he's Michael Jordan when he really hasn't accomplished anything. He IS a prick Not because he went to another team. He's always been a prick I always felt like LeBron had an inflated ego and he really hasn't done anything to prove that otherwise. Nothing wrong with that if you win, but he doesn't. Personally, even if the Heat get it together, I don't think they'll be winning a championship. They have 3 very strong players but there are 9 other guys on that team. Their bench is WEAK. And even when the big 3 are in, they don't play team defense. They're more focused on playing as individuals. So any good team will exploit them. The Celtics win because they play as a team. They aren't focused on just 3 players. Rondo has come into his own, and they have very solid role players on the bench. Actually, those role players aren't even that good, but that teams desire to play unselfishly and around a team effort makes up for that. So I don't see this Heat experiment working. Especially if they make it to the playoffs in which case they'll get throttled by a better team.

You can't understand why unless you've lived through years of sports disappointments, years of your hometown and the people in it being insulted by the rest of the country, and years of watching the city die, homes getting foreclosed on, and jobs getting relocated. In a nutshell, there's a hell of a lot of frustration, anger and sadness that has been built up for years, and it's all going to come out Thursday night towards a guy that was thought of as the one who would never leave because he was a native of the area, one of their own. He not only leaves but does it in an extremely insulting fashion. People switch teams all the time, but to them, he's more than just a guy who switched teams. He's the symbol of that area's frustrations. Most of the rest of the nation doesn't understand, and I don't expect them to because they're looking at the situation through their eyes and based on their own experiences rather than how Cleveland fans have experienced life.

But isn't that wrong and immature for people and a whole city to do? To base your life on some Sports star making your town famous just because he grewup there. Thats ridiculous and just makes them out to a bunch of losers who don't think enough of themselves to be their own person. That they must live their life through a celebrity.

Everyone has problems but you can't blame other people for them. To blame one person for a a whole city's money problems (a person that doesn't even run the city) is totally stupid.

Now I don't remember, but did he actually say that? Did he actually promise them a championship? I agree you shouldn't be making promises that big when you never know how things will work out or what can change over time. Still even if he did say that it's still stupid for a whole city to base their life and happines on a celebrity that they arn't even personally related too.

[QUOTE="kfjl"]You can't understand why unless you've lived through years of sports disappointments, years of your hometown and the people in it being insulted by the rest of the country, and years of watching the city die, homes getting foreclosed on, and jobs getting relocated. Most of the rest of the nation doesn't understand, and I don't expect them to because they're looking at the situation through their eyes and based on their own experiences rather than how Cleveland fans have experienced life. wildcat2000

He accepted the "King" title and promised a championship.

He didn't accept anything? Have you watched anything basketball related since LeBron entered the NBA? Have you seen the ESPN commercial with LeBron and his chair? The guy had "Chosen1" tattooed on his back.

You sound like a cry baby. Mad because someone you don't know and never will broken a meaningless promise. Sports stars are free to sign with any team they want, doing it in anyway they want. Seeing how the heat are doing better than Cleavland so far this year, looks like he made a good decision. Everyone complains about the decision show, yet it had 10 million viewers. Very smart of Lebron to profit off a meaningless decision. It's not like any team he was going to would have had a chance at a title anyway.

Ya like I said you should not make huge promises like that when things can always change. He should not have said that.

But saying he accepted the nickname "King" is a dumb thing to hold against him. Sports players get nicknames all the time. Its the fans that give it to them. How do you NOT accept a nickname? Hold a press confrence to tell everyone to stop calling you that?

The whole "He took the name King James" thing is just another thing haters like bring up when theres nothing else to add. If Howard left the Magic no one would be complaining about him "taking" the name Superman. Other players have moved around the NBA with no mention of who should be named who.

They just to it to Lebron because of how all this happend over the summer.

Your logic eludes me. The Heat are a game an a half ahead of the Cavs. You think the Cavs WITH James would only improve by a game in a half? Don't think so, buddy. Looks like he a made a good decision? It doesn't look like ANYTHING until he wins or doesn't win the rings.

Howard doesn't walk around with a aura of unwarranted self importance. There's a huge difference. LeBron calling himself the "King", which he has been doing since he was in high school, is an indication of his inflated ego. Like I said before, nothing wrong with an ego if you win, and he does not.

He's been calling himself that since highschool? How do you know? Just asking cause Ive never heard that mentioned. I always though he got the nickname once he was in Cleveland and them being Cavaliers. Ya know the whole knights and swords stuff.

LeBron was stupid in leaving Cleveland. Not only he tarnished his legacy but the Cavaliers actually have a better supporting cast than Miami does. Though I don't see the Cavaliers winning a championship any time soon, but they are playing well considering what went on this past summer.

Seriously? They're just starting to play together. It takes teams a bit of time to start meshing with each other -- with the rare exception of the Celtics in '08. If you really don't think this team is going to be dangerous by next season, or even the season after that (or even by the end of this season if they shape up in time), I don't think you know too much about basketball.

And I'm not saying this as a Heat fan; I'm a Jazz fan, and the Eastern conference team I follow are the Celtics (mainly for the beauty of Ray Allen and the fire of Keven Garnett), so I don't care either way how the Heat turn out this season; but I know they're going to be dangerous down the line. Just because they aren't now doesn't mean it's how it'll stay.

Trust me, I'm from Cleveland and have watched him play high school basketball when he was starting to get all the hype nationally. He dubbed himself the King while he was playing in high school.

Its a funny thing you say that they are starting to play together. Cleveland has been playing pretty together a lot better this year than in the past with LeBron on the team. Seriously, there really was not a lot of teamwork with him on the team.
