although very unlikely, the coach of Miami is probably working his team to extremes on ways to beat the Patriots. it is so sweet when an underdog team beats the better team IE: Boise State > Oklahoma. you cannot compare team A with team B so i can't say that just because the steelers inched by 3-0 that Miami can compete with NE. but hey, you never know.

It's set up perfectly:

- Miami is the only team to go undefeated in a season
- That Miami team went 14-0... by stopping the Patriots the Pats will lose after going 14-0
- Miami will get its only win against the Pats while the Pats will get its only loss against the Fins
- Miami stopped Chicago's quest for perfection in the 85 season
- Pats will seal the deal for homefield advantage for the playoffs after beating the Jets
- Miami has given the Pats trouble in the past - indeed, they have beaten the Pats multiple times during the last few seasons, and most of them in the second game they played that year

Unfortunately it's not going to happen... still it would be funny.

I know Miami has inexplicably stopped the patriots before but dude look at the Dolphins this year. They're going to need to commit some serious crimes to win, like murder or something.

I doubt the Dolphins could beat the Pats cheerleaders at this point.

I totally agree. I mean, even if the Pats came into the game with a lazy attitude they would still probably DESTROY the Dolphins. I mean, they are worse than no good this year. It's sad really. And I really don't think the Giants will beat them either. I actually hope the Pats win every game just because I'm sick of listening to Mercury Morris acting like his team is SO amazing and that the Pats doing it isn't as good as them. I think it's MUCH better because they are going to win more games and I think there are better players and teams. I am not a Pat fan at all but I do think they are an AMAZING team that deserves to be undefeated and considered one of the best teams ever (certainly above the 72 Fins who I don't think even crack the top 5).

...so if Miami somehow wins this week, what will happen to all these "Perfect vs. Unperfect, Two Streaks End" threads?

Miami doesn't stand a chance, it'll be like a bye week for the Pats.

I highly doubt Miami will even come close to winning. But you never know. Everyone Philly and the Ravens would be easy teams, didn't happen. Everyone thought Pittsburg would be a tough team, also didn't happen. You can't ever predict games.

Well in this case Miami is so bad, that in this case you really can predict the outcome. Hell, if I'm wrong and if NE loses to them I'll admit I was wrong in my sig for the rest of the football season. I'm not trying to be some cocky, immature Pats fanboy, but predicting the Dolphins so win because of "karma" or some strange situation regarding records is in my mind totally ridiculous. Not that I'm saying you are predicting that ;)

Don't blame the QB man, their whole offense is a joke! You could put Marino in his prime back there and they would probably lose every game! Until they upgrade some more offensive players they are going to get rocked week in and week out!

Maybe if Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Maroney, and pretty much every starter gets hurt, Miami might have a chance.

You think a 9-4 team has less of a chance than 0-13 team? Oh wait, the 9-4 team has Eli! Of course.

Only Tom Brady out would do the trick.

despite how hilarious it would be to get to see the Dolphins win, it is morel likely that the Patriots win by over 4 touchdowns than the Dolphins beating the Patriots

There is a slim chance of the Fins winning against the Patriots, but man, if they won that game, it would be legendary.

honestly... such a prediction is chock full of irony, but its not happening. the Pats bench could offer a good smacking on them poor fishies. I'll still watch the game tho ;)

...and Miami did win this week. So any thoughts now? It is no longer the battle of the "perfects."

Why do you people continously set yourselves up? All season long threads are created about how this team will be the team to beat the Patriots. Give it up already! As tryfe already said, it's a waste of time. A waste of forum space.

Your theory is ruined... they won their game yesterday.
