Live '09 or NBA 2K9?

I am probably a little late on this topic, but which game do you think is better?

I downloaded both demos recently and was impressed by both games.

Live '09 had terrific graphics and presentaion. the animations were better than last year's and the overall flow was also much better.

NBA 2K9 had worse graphics but their presentation was amazing. I had just finished watching the Lakers-Nuggets final game and this viedo game repliacated exactly what was on the screen in real life. It looked and felt just like the real thing. Again the gracphics weren't the best but I thought it was closer to a real game.

What do you think?

NBA Live 09

get nba 2k9...its the best out of the two

Bought both, but NBA2k9 is much better.

NBALIVE = easy to pick up and play, lots of dunks and high scoring

NBA2k9 = better gameplay, more realistic defense and better graphics imo

It all comes down to if you want an arcadey bball game (nba live) or a realistic bball game (2k9).

This year is the best NBA Live game since 98 though imo.

Overall pick up NBA2k9! Highly reccomended!

2K9 has gotten easy for me. Even on Hall of Fame I'm beating the Cavs/Lakers/Celtics by 30+ points with the Bulls.

In 2K9 it's waaaay too easy to exploit a fast point guard.

2k9 is better, though I've heard Live has caught up a bit this year. Really though, 2k9 is a great basketball game. Besides the faulty simming the game is great.-Halftime-

I agree with that 100%. I use to love the Live games when i was younger from the first one on to 99. But imo since 2000-2008 they have been much worse. While 2k basketball games have only gotten better (with 2k6 and 2k9 my favorite). But this year NBA LIVE stepped it up HUGE and made much needed improvement (Its starting to get more defense oriented and more focuse into realistic gameplay which is nice).

Next years bball games could be very even, if NBA LIVE keeps to improve (which i have head from a friend who works at EA, that the new NBALIVE is already shaping up to be the best nab live ever).

But I agre NBA2k9 is the better game this year, and that live is getting alot better. Next year should be very interesting.

IMO i agree with that you have heard, NBA LIVE got alot better with 09 from previous years, but NBA2k9 is still the best of the 2. Next years installemnts of both NBA games should both be great.
