I LOVE IT!!! All that talk about their great regular season record, I GOTTA find the post I made about their record and the playoffs a couple months ago...
Edit: I found it, way in the Mavericks deal Lakers worst home loss ever. Add another record to the 07' Mavs. thread.
Heh, with all this head of steam they got, watch em fall flat on their face in a 7 game series...Eman5805
Man, did I call that one. 8)
Dude, Mark Cuban is one of the best owners in the game. I wish more executives cared half as much as he does about his fans, team and sport.
But still, how bout them Warriors?? That third quarter was just crazy. S-Jax was unconsious. Baron hititng threes on one foot. Lock down defense while the Mavs go ice cold. They deserved to win no doubt, they were the better team and Nellie is one of the more innovative coaches out there. I donno what system they were running, it was like NBA caliber street ball with solid team defense and no centers. But it worked, my hats off to them. I picked the Mavs, I was wrong but damn that was a fun series.
You picked the Mavs? Why? The Mavs have been playing good all season and they beat every team except for the Warriors who crapped on them 3 times this regular season, before the playoffs started experts had the Mavs in five, I was thinking wow what are they smoking on maybe I should be an expert analyst because what they are saying doesnt make sense. The Warriors had the Mavs number all year long and even though they were the 8th seed it wasnt an upset they were supposed to beat the Mavs if Mavs had beat them then that would be the upset because the Mavs has not beat them in the regular season in two years. If the Suns beat the Spurs and the Warriors beat whoever they face next then I would put my money on the Warriors to take it to the finals because they whooped on the Suns all year long also.KingOfJersey
History has shown that regular season results between playoff teams doesn't mean anything. Me and countless others though the Mavs could win because they were a 65+ win team, the top seed in the league, healthy, plus they made it to the finals just last year. The fact they were playing the Warriors instead of the Clippers shouldn't have mattered, they were expected to come out of the first round.
It's not a slight on Golden State at all, they made NBA playoff history and deserve all the credit for it, it was amazing. But you're wrong in saying the Mavs should have been expected to lose and this wasn't an upset.
