Seriously, the Rose Bowl is going to be a snoozefest. As much as I hate to say it USC is going to wax Illinois.

Mizzou never should have been no. 1 in the first place. They barely beat Illinois who was playing with their backup freshman QB most of the game. Had they not fumbled on the goal line or thrown an int at the end, Illinois would have won. The Illini will surprise at the Rose bowl as long as Juice comes to play like he did against USC.burner0921

EDIT: oh yeah, missouri did gt screwed from going from #1 to not being in a BCS game, though they should have never been #1 in the first place...

You realise that the BCS as a whole only decide the top two teams for the championship right? The bowls while they have pre-deturmended settings, pick who is in their bowls.

Why do you say that, have you actually watched Illinois play? Esp. in the second half of the season. They have a very fast spread offense, and they are quick at just about every skill position. They play a lot like Florida does, not as good...but you'd be surprised otherwise.

Granted I know USC is playing as good as anyone right now.

Mainly because USC is playing like they were supposed to at the beginning of the year. I'd love to see Illinois win, but I just don't see it happening, also because it's in the Rose Bowl, a home game for USC.

I also think Illionis shouldn't made it, but like you said no 3 team per conference rule was in effect. The only other team that could go to Rose Bowl was Arizona State. You can't have two teams from the Pac-10 play vs. one another in a bowl game.
