This is me doing my happy dance. *does happy dance*
I forecast a wave of newborn babies in the Seattle area being named Jackie Z in the coming months.
On a somewhat related note... how far up does this deal drive Lincecum's arbitration value?

He made so many good moves..except giving the Jays Morrow for League (who is not good, trust me)This is me doing my happy dance. *does happy dance*

I actually didn't mind that move. Morrow was in a weird situation where it was impossible for him to succeed in Seattle. It didn't matter what he did. As long as he was in a Mariners uniform, he'd forever be known as "that guy Bavasi took instead of local boy Lincecum".

Looks like us Pacific Northwest sports fans finally catch a break this year with the Mariners. He made so many good moves..except giving the Jays Morrow for League (who is not good, trust me)marchmadness1012
I'm a huge Jays fan, and I don't think that's a bad deal for the Mariners. League is inconsistent some of the time, but when he's on, he's very, very good, 100MPH fastball, nasty cutter. To bad half the time they're not always for strikes. The Blue Jays just gave up on his development though and his inconsistency, and now was the time to move him before he gets any worse
Great signing. Next up with the 10 million the Mariners have left, they should get another starting pitcher.

The starting pitching is already their main strength. Hernandez and Lee are the best 1-2 in the majors. Rowland-Smith and Snell are a solid 3-4. All that remains is a little Spring Training competition to identify the 5th. While I generally agree that we could always use more pitching, offense is a bigger need.

League isn't going to succeed in Toronto anyways, and his 96mph sinker would be a better fit in Safeco Field than in Roger's Centre (known for being hitting friendly). The trade is more of swapping pieces that doesn't fit with their former team.[QUOTE="Oleg_Huzwog"][QUOTE="marchmadness1012"]He made so many good moves..except giving the Jays Morrow for League (who is not good, trust me)hiphops_savior

The problem with League is that it doesn't matter if the wall is 300 or 1000 feet away if you can't throw a strike. Please Log In to post.
