  • Will big Papi ever be great again?
  • One year the Blue Jays have great offense and the other the have great pitching but never at the same time, what's up with that?
  • LOL at myself for doubting Evan Longoria.
  • Look at the future outfield of the Orioles: N. Markakis, Felix Pie and Adam Jones.
  • If Hughes, Wang and Joba pitch well why is Joba the one stuck in the pen?! Dammit!
  • Ha!, knew that C. Lee season was a fluke, good luck with that Cleveland.
  • I will say it again, Z. Greinke is sick: 5-0/ 0.50 ERA/ 44k's in 36 innings/ 0.89 WHIP
  • Do the Tigers know they could had have Tiexeira, A. Miller, Maybin instead of Cabrera and Dontrelle?
  • If you were Liriano and knew that you could throw HOF stuff any day you wanted if you change to your old mechanics, would you risk it?
  • Yep, give it for my pick to win the Central: The Chicago White Sox; for some reason experts somehow thought they would fall from the face of the earth.
  • Why is it that the Angels rotation is never is healthy?
  • LOL, Matt Holliday is losing so much money right now that is not even funny.
  • Felix Hernandez and E. Bedard the next Johnson/Schilling?
  • The Rangers will win the WS in 3 years, look at their starting 9; now look at their pitching prospects coming down the pipe.

Thats it, I will do NL later, and yes I'm EXTREMELY bored right now. :P

Hooray for baseball snippets and musings!

  • Rejecting Colorado's longterm deal was mind-numbingly stupid of Holliday.
  • Will we ever again see 100 steals in a season?
  • If Rodriguez stayed in Seattle after 2000, would the Mariners still have signed Ichiro for 2001?
  • 200 strikeouts, Mr. Reynolds? Really? REALLY?!?
  • Why the hell is Matt Wieters still in the minors? Don't give us that "needs more experience" bs, Baltimore... you're clearly holding him back to delay his countdown until arbitration and/or free agency eligibility. That's bullcrap. Promote him now and he'd instantly be the second best catcher in the AL, behind Mauer.

I'll add some of my own thoughts and comment on a few of yours

-Number 1 stunner to me is the Yanks pitching all around. I knew CC wouldn't be what expected cause he always fails in big games and every game in NY is a big game, but the rest of their rotation and their BULLPEN has been horrible. Didn't see that coming.

-Big Papi is done. Some people may say it's cause Manny left but i'm gonna go further. Ever since they started a stricter steroid policy his numbers have consistantly decreased. Sure he was injured some of the time but it can't just be a coincidence imo.

-The Orioles outfield is gonna be good, but you can't mention Felix Pie. He is horrible (i live in bmore). He will be in the minors by the all star break. They just brought up a kid from Triple A who is now splitting time w/ Pie. He had his chance but he sucks. If you can't hit in Wrigley (where Pie was) you can't hit at that level

-Zach Grienke is good, but i don't care what SI says, there is no way he's the best pitcher in baseball, he's just off to the best start.

-Matt Holiday's true talent is being shown. Get out of Coors and you become a notch lower than you were (Vinny Castilla anyone).

-I know there pitching isn't any good, but i can't understand why the Nats are as bad as they are. There lineup is one of the better ones in the NL. Once again i live in the area so i see a lot of their games and they can hit.

-Finally, my bold prediction for the year. I'm going to say it now at the end of April. As long as he stays healthy Albert Pujols WILLget the Triple Crown

The Marlins are not as good as their 11-1 start, but they also are not as bad as their recent 0-7 drought. They will be competitive all year round and might (and that's a huge might) take the division or wildcard. They just won't run away with it obviously.

Josh Johnson is a serious Cy Young candidate as well.

And yes, Zack Greinke is an absolute beast. It's great that he's battled back from anxiety issues to become arguably the best pitcher in baseball.
