Baseball is pretty tough, but I think any individual sport like golf and tennis is tougher. It's mentally and physically tiring, golf your out there foe maybe 5 hours, and tennis from anywere from an hour to 3 1/2, all alone, going full out every play unlike taking shifts in hockey, basketball or getting half an inning off a lot in baseball.
It's tough to not get frusterated at yourself and lose focus, and since it's just you, your the only one to blame. You can only blame yourself in a team sport if you yourself make a error or a bad play, not if you win or lose, it's a team thing.
Interesting, but it would be really hard for me to even justify a sport as being the hardest since there are different degrees of difficulty in different areas of the sport. Baseball can be considered hard because of hitting a ball, but it is not that physically demanding. LTomlinson21Well, that's why they broke it down into 10 categories. Some more important to a sport than others. Baseball has a rather low Endurance rating, but it ranks highest in Hand Eye Coordination.
AGILITY: The ability to change direction quickly. Example: Derek JeterKey at the bottom explaining the categories
I laughed.
But then you also have to remember how often do you do it? Boxing is probably hard, but you only fight what, once every 2 years? Tennis seems hard sure, but golf? Give me a break, then yes baseball doesn't seem taxing but they can play up to 200 games in a year.X360PS3AMD05Once every two years?? The boxers early in their career can box once every couple of months. Even more than that. And it's not just the fight itself. The training is rigorous. The big name prize fighters might fight two or three times a year at most, but at that point, they've earned that right. Golf is incredibly difficult. I'm assuming you haven't played by your comment, but you can correct me if I'm wrong. And swinging clubs at a range is not the same as playing on a course. It's not necessarily strenuous as far as endurance is concerned, but try to put together a decent round, let alone 4. Hell, try to hit the ball. Now try to hit it straight. Now see that hole WAAAAAAAY over there that's only 4.25 inches in diameter. Hit it in there.
A lot harder, in football a lot of players can get by with just freakish athleticism and physical gifts. You won't find that in a complete baseball playerbaseball is harder than football imo..

No thanks, it's still boring, a guy i knew tried to get us into it in HS who played, my uncle still does cause he says "it'll get you places" no thanks, don't care for the elitism and i just laugh when they idolized Tiger and had it blow up in their face, i'd rather go to a batting cage or play in a girls softball league. It's what an old guy does before he gets a heart attack, a recreational activity like darts or billiards.
There's no doubt that Professional Ping Pong is the hardest sport! :P Do you think steroids are ruining Professional Ping Pong?

What does anything you posted have to do with the difficulty of Golf, which was all I was trying to point out to you? Elitism? Maybe some snobby Country Clubs, but what's elitist about going to a public course for a round where fools are drinking and playing poorly? Actually, aren't you kind of being elitist with your comments about the sport? And why bring up Tiger? I still respect what he's done in his career and nothing will change that. Actually, Tiger is a good example of how difficult Golf is. Even he is being humbled by it right now.
I see that they listed martial arts but not Mixed Martial Arts. I believe MMA, at least with the mid to lower weight classes, are all about endurance, strength, power, speed, agility, flexibility, nerve, durability, hand eye coordination and analytic aptitude.
This report is bogus.
I would have to say that wrestling is the most physically exhausting sport. There's just no way that you're not going to be tired at the end of a match. Baseball is both mentally and physically demanding, so it's definitely pretty tough.blackngold29Fact! Not only is it hard to hit, but anticipating what kind of pitch is mentally tough even in MLB The Show. Playing 3B is insane too, all reflex when the ball is coming at you near 100MPH.
IMO, the hardest sport to go professional is basketball... in baseball, there are always the minors, where you can play for a long time... in football, you may not be big enough, fast enough, or strong enough, but if you are a warrior there is always special teams, who love high motor guys... and its easy to get into pro boxing, you might suck but you can box... in basketball, if you can't make a 16 man roster, where are you going to go? D-Leauge is small and does not last long...
