It has to be Dirk Kuyt he puts 110% in every second of every game and if he has a bad game he comes straight out and says so plus he isnt your typical footballer with the flashy cars and so on he gave his money from his adidas endorsement deal to charity.fordiesor...not
c'mon, Peyton Manning, hes the new "golden boy" Hes a geniune good guy (if you don't count his lil thing on SNL with the little kids haha)Spedmunds
Yeah, but some people don't like him because of that "golden boy" reputation. I think the most likable athlete in all of sports is Brett Favre because he is a fierce competitor who is a sure hall of famer and just goes about his business everyday and doesn't run his mouth off.
Uh Pats fans hate Peyton and Kobe fanboys hate Jordan cuz they think Kobe is the best ever.Espurs117
ok well look at it this way, EVERY player in EVERY league has a people who hate them, its just how things are, but i still think peyton is the most likeable athlete

That's why Tiger Woods has an advantage...he isnt on a team.Â

I can't stand Favre, I can't explain why, but they guy just gets on my nerves. And having to think for 6 months about whether he's going to retire and effectively holding his team hostage doesn't help either. Personally I say Steve Nash, Chris Bosh, Vernon Wells (though I thought he'd sign for a tad less money than 126 million), Joe Sakic, and even though he's retired, Steve Yzerman.Ya, probably Tiger Woods or Steve Nash. It's the people who respect the game the most and say all the right things. If you count retired players, I personally like Charles Barkley, even though he talks out of his ass alot. He's like a big ol' homebody funny guy you want in your corner.d12malupeople hate steve nash

He's not my favorite by any means, but I definitely don't hate him. Plus he's Canadian, they don't bother anyone :)

Peyton Manning, Sidney Crosby. Both incredibly talented athletes who never bad mouth anyone. They just let their play do the talking. They always have a minute for an interview or an autograph and they've both made some HILARIOUS commercials. Props to both.njdss4Crosby whines to the refs too much, although he is getting better.
Gilbert Arenas
