Are we talking in-game or just sports in general? It's always sad when a horse has to be put down, there was also that kid who was killed by a hockey puck.

The dude who was running track, hurt himself, and wouldn't stop until he finished. I remember when his dad came out(pretty sure it was his dad) and helped him finish. The runner started crying....was really sad.

The second video isn't anyone dieing, many people have mistaken it for a death video but he just ended up with a broken ankle and a few other injuries. There is a story about that video, check out Vic Grimes on Wikipedia, thats the guy who was thrown on the video.

Look, wrestling maybe scripted, may not be a legitimate sport, but it's still more of a sport than chess or poker will ever be (and poker's on ESPN for some reason). Therefore my point about Owen's death stands.

To me, even though he's still alive, Magic Johnson announcing he had contracted HIV and retiring will always be the most tragic moment in sports.
