Okay in baseball i'll give u a few
Cy youngs 511 wins (undoubtly the most untouchable record in baseball)
Nolan Ryan's 7 No hitters
Nolan Ryan's 5,714 Ks
Ty Cobb's .367 batting averge.
73* home runs in a season by Barry Bonds same as the 70* by Mark Mcguire
Ripkins 2632 Consectutive games

I got a few in football records that would be hard to break

Jerry Rice's yards record 22,895
Jerry Rice's TD record 197
Brett Farve's 253 consecutive games
Miami Dolphins Perfect season

In basketball some unbreakable records would be
Wilt chamberland's 100 point NBA game (with no 3 pointers)
Wilt Chamberland's 50 point scoreing average (with no 3 pointers)
UCLAs 7 national Championships in a row
Bostons celtics 10 NBA championships in a row
Micheal Jordan's 6 NBA finals MVP
and in hockey i'd say
Wayne Gretzky's 215 point season
Wayne Gretzky's 2857 point career
Bill Mosinko's 27 second Hat trick
Darrly Sitler's- 10 point game
Teemu selanne's 76 goal Rookie season.

The hardest is easily the 56-game hitting streak, and 73 home runs in a season. 511 wins is never going to be beaten, because the game was played very differently back then. I would say that a career .690 slugging % by Babe Ruth is going to be impossible now, too.

Favre's is consecutive games by a QB, not just a player.

i think 756 should still be in list. i will never accept bonds as the all-time home run king. if anyone were to break it, it should have been griffey, but we all know what happened there. i guess i would like to see a-rod do it.

This is a great topic with a lot of great records. The majority of these records will be unbreakable simply because the era in which they were made is completely different then the way the game is played now and will be in the future (Cy Young's wins, Wilt Chamberlin points avg, etc). However i do think that there is possibility that some of the these can be broken/met. And i'm very confident about one. I really believe Manning will break Favre's streak. He is already at 160 games and he's only 32. So if Favre really is done, that would mean Manning would just have to play 6 more years to pass that. I think that's probable because he's a less reckless qb. Favre got lucky he didn't get hurt cause he often put himself into the position to get hurt. Manning very rarely gets touched and is very smart if and when he runs the ball. I also think that one day the reg season home run record will be broken. Players will continue to get bigger and stronger as the years go on, and the ball parks will keep getting smaller for some reason, so that one wouldn't shock me.

The final one is my wild card because i've been saying it for a few years. I truly believe if he is put on an offensive minded team (suns, warriors, etc.), Lebron could avg a triple double for a season. He's already at damn near 30-8-8 and that's on Cleveland who plays that slow down type game, which means less shots being taken for both teams, which means less opportunity for rebounds and assists. When his contract is up and he leaves CLeveland (and he will be gone), i just hope he goes to a team that plays a little more open style.

Man i wrote a lot. lol. I just enjoyed the topic i guess

Gretzky's 50 goals in 39 games. The Great One even said himself that if there's only one of his records that would never be broken, that would be the one lol.

the most untouchable record is definitely cy young's wins record, and well as wilt's 100 point game. its not that there isn't enough talent nowadays, but the way they played back then is completely different then now. this is a pretty cool thread and all those records are pretty insane i neevr really thought about them before.

Ripkins 2632 Consectutive games is the only record that wont be broken. Nowadays even when have players 100% healthy, hitting well and wants to play - a manager will rest hit a game here a game there.

In college Pete Maravich averaged 44 points a game with no three point line, if there was one he would have averaged 60+ points a game.

Cy Young's complete game record. 730+ complete games. I don't think any active player has even 100.

There are some players that have a shot like Lebron james he's avergeing 27.4 points a game in 4 seasons and he's only 23 and 3 months. I don't thin he's hit his prime yet either. Kareem had 24.7 i know and he played for 20 years and reasonable lebron could play for 22, 23 years.

100 points in a single basketball game is ridiculous. I don't know how someone would do that.

NFS102

There have actuly been a few college players
Frank Selvy scored 100 in a divison one basketball game in 1953 for Furman against Newberry college.
Bevo Francis scored 113 points 113 for a small college named Universty of Rio Grande in 1953. (It's not recongized by the NCAA)

there have been 15 high school boys and 4 high school girls that have scored 100 most recently in 2001 Dajuan Wagner scored 100 (he played for Memphis and was the 6th overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft but he was a bust and now plays in Europa)

there have also been a few other players around the world that have scored 11 in a game

I think Cal Ripkin's record for consecutive games played, and Wayne Gretzky's 50 goals in 39 games are 2 that won't ever be broken. You don't see players in eithor sport even come close to them since they were set.

How do we know the Dolphins didn't cheat in their perfect season?

And what if MJ was on steroids? Who cares, you can't assume random crap that you have nothing to back it up with. The fact of the matter is that there has been a lot of crap against the Pats and Belichicks random apology didn't make him look any more innocent either. The Pats are an extremely cocky organization, and that'll be their downfall.

I don't know how you can put the Miami Dolphins perfect seaon on there. We kind of just saw the Patriots go 18-0 and almost beat/match the record. So I don't see how you can put it on the list of UNBEATABLE records.

lol, ignore the fact that the world was watching their every move. It's easier to just say they cheated in the last season too.

Thanks for completely ignoring my other post.

So the world was watching when they were a 1-0 team that got caught for cheating? Yeah, freaking NFL was out to get the Pats all along! Though losing to a scrub NFC team would hurt a bit after claiming to be the greatest ever, but that's karma for ya.

That Scrub team swept through the play-offs beating every team they faced. Not so Scrubby it seems. plus Eli Manning is an excelent QB as I have always said. (I said this before last season when all the Giants fans wanted him gone). Bash us all you want, but i'd rather make it to the superbowl and lose then be like the rest fo the teams and not make it.
