I would say....

1. Matt Forte

2. Adrian Peterson

3. Maurice Jones-Drew

4. Michael Turner

5. Brian Westbrook

Backs that are receiving threats rate really high with me. The next five in no particular order. Steven Jackson, Frank Gore, Ladanian Tomlinson, Chris Johnson, Steve Slaton.

1- Matt Forte

2- Maurice Jones-Drew

3- Adrian Peterson

4- Michael Turner

I can't really decide on a 5th, there's a bunch who should be considered. Ilovebacks who can catch and block too, and stay out there every down.I believe Forte will have the best season this season because ofeverything the Bears have done. I'm just not as high on AP.

I think the vertical threat will unplug rushing lanes for Forte, and with Cutler he should have every opportunity to match his nice receiving numbers from last year as well. The guy has nowhere to go but up.

All-around? 1. Westbrook - As explosive as anyone but isn't much of a hand-off running back. 2. LT - If you rush for 1110 yards and 11 TDs and everyone hates on you, you know you're good. 3. Peterson - Undoubtedly the best rusher in the league, but if it's all-around, his 21 catches have to drop him a bit. 4. Forte - Crazy-good season last year; potential to do plenty more of it. 5. Steven Jackson - If he could just stay healthy...he can produce even for the Rams.

true...i think the addition of cutler makes chicago a very dangerous offense...they should pick up a veteran WR like harrison

4. Frank Gore
5. Matt Forte

I think Gore has a chance to go even higher on my list if the Niners can sign Crabtree or at least get the passing game going. He has been throwing up some sick numbers with almost no relief from the passing game. I look for him to have a solid season this year!

Um how can you add reggie into this, the man can't be a every down running back. So how can he be a top all around running back. He's a good punt returner and he can catch out of the back field, thats about it.

for best ALL-ROUND backs i'd say: westbrook, LT, steven jackson, pinball mojo, forte, reggie bush

he was a last minute addition and because we're talking about best ALL-ROUND, as in versatility, not overall. No reggie bush isn't an every down back but get him past the line of scrimmage and into the open field and he'll do damage. He's one of the best receivers at the RB position and can return a punt better than anyone with the exception of hester. He gets a lot of hate from not living up to a consistent ground game but the fact is he is one of the most dangerous offensive weapons when used right

But Forte caught over 60 passes last year, he shouldn't be listed with those other guys.
