"The demo will be 1 quarter at 5 minutes, on default pro difficulty. Audio will be stripped down for the demo."
How lame is that? its seems likeMadden 11 was the only sports game demo that gave u more time.( 4 5 mins qrts) Even in the day when sports games was good i was wonder why the demos was very SHORT.
Anybody know when the NBA Elite 11 demo drops? I want to test both games as I really felt last years NBA Live 10 was very close to NBA 2K10 gameplay-wise and now the guy that turned the NHL series around is at the helm so I am really interested to see how the game plays. Also, the Be A Pro mode for NBA Elite sounds stellar and I'm sure the online will be solid as it is for both NHL and FIFA. My brother and I can never get into a My Player game (I can't remember the actual name) for some reason. One of us always gets booted even though we can join one on one games and play tons of other games online without any issues. Plus, NBA Elite 11 comes with NBA Jam so... And my buddy who is the manager at my local Gamestop got to play it at a conference a couple weeks ago and said it was a riot!

if by "starting over from scratch" you mean basically taking the 2K control system, and throwing in nba jam to get people to buy it. then yes.
Fact. New name, same crap.[QUOTE="cjasko94"][QUOTE="Lostboy1224"]More interested to try the Elite demo since they are the ones who were starting over from scratch. Master_Live

Fact. New name, same crap. Yep totally not fooling me. I'm getting 2k"The demo will be 1 quarter at 5 minutes, on default pro difficulty. Audio will be stripped down for the demo."

Turning into EA sports....
You're complaining about a demo? Be happy they are even doing one. And here is my 2 cents on the Hoops games.
After playing BOTH games last year I came away with these impressions. NBA 2K was very Buggy and felt like a reheat without much new to care about. Live took some steps to closing the gap on 2K. I'd even go as far as to say the in game 'Atmosphere' was cooler in LIVE.
Another thing I'll add is I'm to the point of hating 2K because of the ridiculous amount of control inputs you have to remember. Instead of having fun just reacting and making plays like you do in NHL 11 for instance... you're trying to remember some crazy button combos like you're playing Tekken just to pull off simple Hoops moves. With Elite/Live going to the R stick control it could be a total game changer just like it was for the EA NHL franchise. 2K isn't even a factor with hockey anymore. And now I'm wondering if 2K just sitting back and doing reheats for the most part will burn them again now with the NBA.
Grabbing Jordan is a huge get... but it also reeks of a company that knows their game is stuck in the mud as far as the gameplay goes and they NEEDED a big attraction like Jordan to keep the attention on NBA 2K. For me having Jordan is great.... but a game like Elite with a new innovative control scheme and physics engine... and NBA JAM included is way more enticing to try then a reheat with MJ. I'll wait for the demo's and reviews before buying for sure this year.

Oh, I am certainly buying 2K11 but just curious to try out Elite since they have been hyping it so much lately. Just want to know if they are even heading in the right direction or just hamsters on wheels.[QUOTE="PSP107"]

how u figure? Is it just me, or can you not play as the Celtics when playing single player in the demo? And is there not a way to sub players?Tenndawg8Its just not u. I thought this was online multiplayer only but u select quick game and ur the lakers. Is this an error on 2K part?
