NBA 2k9 vs. NBA Live 2009

Which game do you think is better NBA 2k9 or NBA Live 2009?

NBA LIVE 09

- Better graphics then 2k9

- EA is really getting back to basics finally this year, and making the defense ALOT better then the last few lackluster years

- Good sound

- Good online

NBA2k9

- Very deep controls and tons of options

- The most realistic basketball game ive ever played

- Better gameplay

- Very defensive oriented

- Better Association mode

- Great pressentation

Overall EA has made the best nba live game since 99 imo. They really did a great job with NBA 09 this year and is a HUGE step up from the last few years.

NBA2k9 just has such a deep association mode and especially the amazingly deep controls and depth make it the winner this year imo.

NBA LIVE has improved tons and is on the way up again, which is very nice to see. But 2k9 is just the best basketball game ive played in 20 years, if you are a basketball fan that loves realism, 2k9 is your game. If you want a more pick up and play game, that is more user friendly and a little mroe arcadey, then NBA Live 09 is for you.
You really cant go wrong with either game imo, but here are my scores for each game = NBA2k9 = 9.5 and NBALIVE 09 = 8/10.

EA made the better hockey game this year (NHL 09 is amazing), and 2k made the better NBA game this yea (NBA2k9).

NBA 2K9 simply dominates NBA Live 09.=P

Its the best basketball game ever, and its very realistic witha very deep control system. Also the gameplay is top notch. The only thing that NBA LIVE does better this year is graphics imo.

That's a good one! I bought 2K9 this year (I bought 2K8 and 2K7 as well) and I got bored of it so I traded it off and picked up Live 09 and I'm very happy! Love the gameplay of both but Live is just more fun overall for me.

My 360 scratched my nba 2k9.I played nba live 09 and Im starting to like it.I dont know which 1 to get now.Im looking at the reviews and seeing which 1 every one prefers.

NBA2k9 is much better. Although NBALIVE 09 is the best live game in about 8 years. They are finally getting the NBA LIVE franchise back to its roots. I like how there is more defense now in NBA LIVE, when compared to last years or the year befores, where it was just dunk contest all the time.

I still preffer NBA2k9 though for its amazingly deep controls, association mode and gameplay.
