Lebron. He does everything you could ask for from a single player.

Durant. LeBron will not win it again. The best player doesn't always win, if that were true Kobe would have won it the past 2 years. Durant is an amazing basketball player and a very lovable guy. He is not self centered like LeBron.

Maybe because the award isn't about the best player. Is about the MOST VALUABLE.

I guess its cool to hate Lebron now for whatever reason. But he was by far the most valuable player last year, and if he has a year similar to last year, I see no reason why he wouldn't win again. 30 points, 7 boards, 9 assists all while shooting 50% from the field is very hard to deny.

Durant. Lebron will be sharing the spotlight too much and kobe's mvp days are behind him.

Pretty much. I'd be surprised to see Kobe get another one, even without the talk of limiting his minutes because of his injuries but especially because of it. I'd go with Durant over Lebron for the same reason also.

There is no Comeback Player of the Year award in the NBA. I think you're thinking of the Most Improved Player Award.

Anyway, I think Durant or Kobe wins the MVP this season.

Although it's not an official award in the NBA (unlike the NFL) it's an award that I like to give out in my mind :P I like to see fallen stars recapture excellence.

Durant or Kobe I can't see Lebron getting it with D wade and Bosh on his team they could still win a lot of games without him so he's not the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER.

It's a two man race between Kobe and Durant I think. Lebron will have the problem that Kobe and Shaq had when they were playing together. He and Wade will split their part of the vote...and that's not even counting the Bosh impact. I think Durant is the frontrunner currently, but it will come down to which team between Oklahoma City and LA has the best record. And I expect that to be the Lakers. Kobe for his second MVP by an eyelash.

I doubt the voters vote for Lebron, for he is sharing the load with fellow superstar D Wade, and semi star C Bosh.

Kobe will be up there.

I think Durant and Howard are more valueable to their teams. I'd say Howard affects the game so much more, but mainly defensively and for his teams 3-pointer shots.

But gotta love a guy like Durant. I'd hope Durant wins it.

Believe it or not, the MVP award is a popularity contest. And since LeBron showed his true, selfish, and egotistical side in the off season, it will be extremely hard for him to win it. Not to mention he seems to always give up in the playoffs.

No, but he's a perfect example of the best player not always winning the award. He didn't deserve it either year he won it.

^ True fact. However, he said the MVP award is a popularity contest, and I don't think anyone believes Steve Nash was the most popular player in the NBA for two straight years.

MVP: Durant NBA Championship Series: Lakers vs Miami, but I can see the Lakers pulling it out in 7 games. Miami has a great team, but the Lakers match up pretty well with the Heat. Lebron and Wade would be okay, but I think Gasol would win the battle against Bosh, and Bynum would probably win against big Z. Kobe and D-Wade would battle back and forth, and Artest would do a good job keeping James from going off for big numbers. Once the subs come Odom will have his way with the Heat's second unit, and Stackhouse will give them some points. The Heat's big 3 would have to play almost every minute of every game to win it all and I don't know if they have that much stamina for the season and the playoffs.

I'll go with D.Howard. They should finish 2nd in the east and I think he'll be over 20+ points per gamewhich will help him make a strong case along with that stellar D and team success.

Nobody from the Heat. The ball isn't big enough.

Durant is a favorite.

I pick Amar'e for a darkhorse, he is going to have a coming out party in NY.

I think it will be Kevin Durant. If not him then Kobe but Durant I think will relaly play great this season as long as he stays healthy and the Thunder do better then last season during the regular season.

It'll be between Dwight Howard and Durant.

If the MVP award was a best player award Kobe would have at least 3 already
