With just 2 out 11 teams left, you wonder if the Big East is all talk but no walk. To be fair, 2 Big East had to be eliminated since two games pit them against each other.

of course they are, but to anyone who follows college bball this is nothing new. It's the same thing every year. The conference has like 75 teams in it and they always get the most tournament bids but yet at the end of the tourny it's never a big east team cutting down the nets. For as "great" as that conference is, they haven't won a title since 2004. Hell, to take it one step further, they haven't even had a team in the title game since2004.That's a long time ago considering how many teams they get in every year.

Then you have the old faithful ACC. Even in what everyone says is the "worst the ACC has been in 20 years" they still have 3 of their teams still alive. And all 3 will be favored (by vegas) to win their next games as well

Outside of UCONN the big east looks like a farce this year. Pitt chokes every year in the Tournament.

The problem with giving a lot of credit to Marquette... and even UCONN for that matter is they both beat Big East teams to reach the sweet 16. EVERY other Big East team lost to a non conference team. Who knows if either of these teams would beat a team from another Conference after seeing how awful the rest of the teams have performed? Any way you slice it this was an incredible embarrassment for the Big East this year. 11 teams in... only 2 left? Awful showing.

But Marquette had to beat a higher seed (#6 Xavier) to even face Syracuse.

In this league, we continue to beat each other up.Jim Calhoun

Ah-ha, there's the problem! All the Big East teams are too tired from beating each other up.

Yeah they are overrated. Last season was no different either.

There are great teams in that conference but clearly the Big East should not have had 11 teams in the tournament.

They have a lot of skilled teams, but they did under perform this year big time. If your from the Big East you should not be losing in the first or second rounds. I think the ACC is just fine this year even with some major injuries to some future NBA caliber players.

Charles Barkley is exactly the person to ask about basketball, be it NBA or NCAA.
