i say ala. always got to go underdogs.

They're not the underdog. Alabama is a 4.5 point favorite in Vegas.
But interesting debate i've heard. Let's say the game is close, and both LSU and Alabama continue being undefeated. If both Oklahoma State and Stanford lose, what should happen? Will Boise finally get their chance at a title game? Could we see a rematch? Will Oregon or Oklahmoma be able to jump in to the discussion if they don't lose a game the rest of the way? I personally think it all depends on how Boise looks down the stretch, if they win in style the rest of the way, they should get in. However if they keep looking like they did against Air Force, I could easily see and probably would allow a 1-loss (to LSU mind you) Oregon in the championship game.
But really it's impossible to project how the rest of the season will play out, and how the voters will see it.
Part of it depends on the matchups. If LSU beats Bama, then Oregon probably won't make it, as I don't see a rematch as likely. A 1-loss Oklahoma or Okie State would probably make it over an undefeated BSU. BSU's chances also hinge on how UGA finishes the season. If UGA goes undefeated the rest of the way and plays respectably in the SECCG, then BSU's chances go up.But interesting debate i've heard. wow really? LOL i'd figure #2 would be an underdog. It doesn't make anysense that you'd be rated number 1 and be underdogs against number 2. Oh well, changed my mind, LSU ftw.

I guess because they're playing at home. Though fairly or not rankings are often based on what type of season a program is having rather than just purely on how good a team is. I mean did anyone really believe Clemson was the 5th best team last week before losing to Georgia Tech? No, I would hope not. But they were undefeated, and thus ranked behind 4 other undefeated teams[QUOTE="cdragon_88"]

However, I still wouldn't rule out an LSU/Alabama rematch in the championship game IF; LSU lost in a close game, and Oklahoma St and Stanford lost. I really do like Boise, but LSU's only loss was the #1 ranked team in the nation on the road, I really think you'd have to take them. But interesting debate i've heard. That might be it. Looks like LSU will win.
Great game. LSU/UGA very possible in the SECCG.. just like old times.

I better never see a team go to the championship game without winning their conference.
If that was a Big Ten game everyone would be talking about how awful the Big Ten is >_> Seriously, that game sucked. JML897and no disrespect to the great defenses but the offenses suck. I hope Andrew Luck and Stanford make it to the championship game and destroy them

Both Alabama and LSU would have to pull their starters by the 3rd quarter. Same as any Big Ten team. Best bet would be Oklahoma or MAYBE Boise State (because of coaching).

I like Boise but it's getting hard to argue for them at this point. They struggled against Air Force, and are currently sturggling against UNLV. OU is without Broyles so that knocks them down a few notches. However I still think they will beat Oklahoma State, but still will need an insane last few weeks from the teams in from of them to get into the National championship picture.

Oklahoma are you kidding me? they wet the bed every single year and didn't they lose already this year? I think Boise can definitely hang with them along with Stanford. Unlike Oregon who disappointed the Pac 10 last year, Stanford actually has a legit QB and offense

I'm typically a diehard proponet of their case, but they're currently sturggling against UNLV, and didn't look great against Air Force to say the least. They're still a BCS team if they run the table, no doubt. But it's getting pretty hard to see them in the title game. I agree with Stanford though, I think they run the table, OkSt. loses to OU, and we end up with a very good LSU/Stanford NC matchup.

that's the scenario that I hope happens
Outside of the Texas Tech game, Oklahoma has been impressive. Stanford, outside of Luck, just isn't that good. Their best win is against an average USC team in OT. I don't see it.GamerForca
they have a solid receiving corp, good o-line, strong run game and decent D. once they man handle Oregon they're going to show why they're one of the best teams in the country
I don't see their running game doing much against LSU's front seven. LSU's secondary would own Stanford's receivers. With Jim Harbaugh as coach, I think they'd have a shot, but he's gone. And the 3 times I've seen them play, I haven't seen anything that makes me think they can stay within 4 TDs of LSU or Bama. If they really manhandle Oregon, I might reconsider. Till then....they have a solid receiving corp, good o-line, strong run game and decent D. once they man handle Oregon they're going to show why they're one of the best teams in the country

I'm looking at the ref and saying "that was an interception?" and the Bama coach for still playing that guy with the busted ankle. Why did they keep using the kicker that missed? Then the guy who dropped that fade route by the 10, this was their game to lose at home and they lost it. X360PS3AMD05Dude started to lose possession to the LSU DB before he hit the ground. Even if it wasn't, payback for the horrible no interception call last time LSU played at Alabama.

But I don't think that was a interception.
I was rooting for Alabama, but I'm glad they lost after Saban didn't try and score at the end of the 4th quarter. They absolutely controlled the whole game, LSU couldn't drive the ball at all. But LSU obviously had the better kicker on the two teams and you choose to go to overtime where you know it's going to be decided by your kicker? Stupid.

The real story in College Football is this Penn State Scandal.
Papa Joe Paterno... say it ain't so!!! How could they cover up for some mutant pedophile like this? Mind Boggling story that goes beyond Football.
Alabama still ahead of Stanford and Boise State: LOL BCSmonkeytoes61Actually, look at those 3 team schedules and I can see the rational. Standord just need to beat Oregon. Boise? Maybe they should play more than 1 good team per year.
