Rodgers is MVP
Nice.

At least you're giving him props... :PHe deserved it.
Back to back MVPs with a little variance (Super Bowl and regular season) isn't bad. No SB for them though, but I hate the Pack, so yeah! :D

[QUOTE="Ring_of_fire"][QUOTE="Silverbond"]Brees got robbed. Again.SilverbondYeah, that Pesky Aaron Rodgers and his great season just got in the way.Let me spell it out for ya: Brees was the best QB this season and was almost certainly more valuable to his team than ARod and got robbed of the MVP award. Again. I'm not surprised though. Rodgers was basically anointed by the media as the best of all time by week 4.Agreed. The best of all time is about to play his 5th SB. :P

No you let me spell it out for you.
Rodgers
-set the passer rating record
-better TD-INT Ratio
-higher YPC average (By almost a full yard!!)
with almost a full 100 less attempts, and did so winning 15 games after winning the SB and it's MVP award. You know, when every team is gunning for you. Oh, and he did most of it not in domes. I'm not denying Bree's was masterful, any other year it was his. That being said, Rodgers was better.
[QUOTE="Put_in_Kitna"]Romo. Kitna. Dallas. :lol:Rodgers is an alright little qb. Still far behind studs like Romo.

Who brought up Kitna? LMAO at Rodgers being put in the same sentence as Kitna the legend. GTFO scrub.

Outside in the elements Brees put up better numbers then Rodgers
75% of Brees' numbers happened while he was playing on grass

Brees -Broke Marino's record -One more touchdown than Rodgers -Broke the completion percentage record (he set the previous one) -Broke the completions record What I'm seeing is that Brees is better than Rodgers in all but two major statistical categories and we all know the Saints without Brees would be a helluva lot worse than the Packers under Flynn.[QUOTE="Innovazero2000"][QUOTE="Silverbond"]Let me spell it out for ya: Brees was the best QB this season and was almost certainly more valuable to his team than ARod and got robbed of the MVP award. A) With Rodgers, the Pack only lost one game. B) He had one more TD in one more start than Rodgers. You think if all was equal, he'd be up? no. C) You can't prove that statement that they would be good with Flynn after a few starts. D) Rodgers protected the ball A LOT better than Brees, 6 INTs rather than 14. E) Rodgers has some mobility, better running yards F) So what if he Broke the single season record? The league is now set up for passing, as evident for Tom Brady also breaking Marino's record, and Matthew Stafford coming close. G) Both are good quarterbacks, but Rodgers was better THIS year overall.Hmmm IDK, in that game his backup played didn't he throw for like 500 yards and several TD? Makes you wonder how much is the team/system just like Cassell when he stepped in for Brady.X360PS3AMD05I'm not saying Flynn would be bad or anything, but how can we know for sure if that was a fluke game, his ability, or it's the system? My point is: You can't truly measure a QB on one game, even if it's a game like the one he played.
I am also not saying that Brees would have been a bad choice for MVP. I am just saying he was not robbed this year
We will know how good other teams think Flynn really by how many trade calls they get. Packers could have a Matt Cassell situation on their hands and should sell high.Master_LiveFrom what I'm reading, the Packers are gonna let him walk. They don't have enough room in the salary cap to franchise him. :(

Remember, Brees system is primary passing, hence why he had 155 more passing attempts then Rodgers (and less YPC average to boot) His production was largely boosted because of Sproles...and tore the hell out of teams underneath on designed routes. Passing league aside these days, Rodgers was just way more efficient then Brees was and still put up ridiculous numbers.

Errr no, not at all.... Aaron Rodgers Outdoor - 3,605 Yards 67.8 Percentage 9.01 YPC 121.6% Passer Rating Drew Brees Outdoor - 2,219 Yards 69.7 Percentage 8.10 YPC 96.4% Passer Rating Yes Aaron played outdoors more, why Brees played more indoors on the fast track. Now attempts, etc, etc aside here's the kicker. Aaron Rodgers still had a better passer rating and YPC then Brees did indoors as well. (126.2 rating, 10.18 YPC vs 120.8 rating, 8.5 YPC) Aaron Rodgers hit efficiency this past year that I don't think was ever replicated aside from maybe Brady in 07. If Rodgers had the additional 155 attempts that Brees had (and yes this is without all things considered, or what could happen) He would of shattered records across the board. Another hit in Brees favor although more team oriented, is that outdoor scoring plummeted outdoors for the saints, vs indoors.[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"][QUOTE="Innovazero2000"]

Reading comprehension for the win, this about Aaron and Drew. Nothing about Peyton. If you want to bring Peyton into the discussion and climb that high horse, then Aaron Rodgers breaking Mannings passer rating mark trumps all, and this discussion is pointless. That however, isn't the case.
I was simply replying to a statement that I felt was in question, hence I backed it up with stats. Drew was good in outdoors, but not nearly as good as he was indoors. Aaron was solid across the board.
I think it all depends on what MVP really means? Is it really the player most valuable to his team? If so, I would say Brees should win, because that system doesn't work without him. If it's simply the best player that year in the NFL, then I'd say Rodgers deserved it.monkeytoes61I would say this is prob. the most accurate statement.
