David against Goliath. Maybe Rex Ryan can see the future?

Chargers. Sanchez needs more years.MoonMarvelThe topic is about who the Colts would rather face. Its naive, but I would say the Jets. Peyton has so many great receivers in his lineup. Collie has been very impressive his rookie year, topping the rookie charts.

The Colts would rather face The Jets, who the hell would want to play a team that's red hot like the Chargers right now?jg4xchampColts dont care, a champion doesnt care who they play.

But come on now, even they deep down would admit that if it came down to it the "Jets are at the least the easier" team. The way i see it, for the Colts this is just like 06. They had to beat the Patriots and exercise those playoff demons against them. and now it has to be the Chargers who have been responsible for the last 2 playoff exits. ....but boy would their job be easier if it was the Jets....in my opinion :P
i just watched the "nfl's greatest games" episode of the 2006 afc champ game between the pats-colts. obviously, most of the chatting was about how the pats had owned them in previous years. in an interview for that show, peyton admitted that he would just assume to play the worst team in the league than the pats. "that would have been fine with me."
i would say most champions would laughingly admit the same thing.
can't wait to watch the colts-chargers game next week. i really want to see indy beat them and if they can't, then i wouldn't want them in the superbowl anyway.
lol I've seen that before. SOmeone asked him "So the patriots are the team you want to be facing with the superbowl on the line" and his reaction is just priceless in that interview "NO, NO you don't want to be facing the patriots" ....i just watched the "nfl's greatest games" episode of the 2006 afc champ game between the pats-colts. obviously, most of the chatting was about how the pats had owned them in previous years. in an interview for that show, peyton admitted that he would just assume to play the worst team in the league than the pats. I don't know what it is, but defensive teams always improve much more than any other type of team. Jets and Ravens are prime examples.

Those fumbles and unlucky bounces didn't help Baltimore's case either
I'm extremely impressed with the Jets right now and the Colts didn't really prove much to me against the Ravens, it was more the Ravens offensive struggles than a good Colts D. Colts offense just seemed a little out of place, in my opinion that was an extremely unimpressive 20-3 victory as you'll see, or maybe I just really dislike the Colts. The Jets D has been playing excellent and I believe if they want to win they can..but they need more out of Sanchez than just a 150 yard game...
New York Jets 16
Indianapolis Colts 20
honestly the colts should lose just for letting the jets in the playoffs
they messed up the balance they deserve too lose
Not when their coach is Rex Ryan. Rex Ryan is a such a breath of fresh air compared to all these stuffy coaches who say nothing and have no personality like Mangini and Belichick. Ryan having some fun gives even more reason to root for the underdog JETS![QUOTE="limpbizkit818"]
Great picture of the Jets from ESPN. Sometimes you just gotta love the underdogs:

Ryan having some fun gives even more reason to root for the underdog JETS! They don't even deserve to be in the playoffs. But I would like to see them beat the Colts, just because they are the reason they are in and it would be great to see Bill Polian face after they lose.Yeah... I think everyone is passed the do the Jets deserve to be in the playoffs garbage by now. The Colts resting players in the regular season isn't the Jets problem... and the Jets beating the Division winners Bengals and Chargers on the Road cements they were playoff worthy. That argument is out the window now when you make it to the AFC Championship game. But it would be the ultimate in sticking it to a team that rested players which helped an opponent... then that opponent comes back to knock you out of the playoffs! That would be the ultimate in teaching the Colts GM a lesson of playing it safe! Especially when he ignores history and the chance for a Perfect Season! DISGRACEFUL! ohjtbehaaaveI mean I agree with a lot of what you are saying but if the Colts don't lay down, the Jet are not in the playoffs. I do give them credit for what they have done no doubt.

I can't stand the guy, I hope they get blown out even though they have a USC QB![QUOTE="limpbizkit818"]

Yeah, but the Colts resting players is their decision. Blame the Colts GM not the Jets. Jets just played the games on the schedule... and if you catch a break... ya still gotta make the most of it! They totally have to this point!ohjtbehaaaveYes I understand it is the Colts decision to do what they want, but if the Colts did not pull all the players we are not talking Jets v.s. Colts. Listen I don't want take anything away from their play thus far in the playoffs, I'm just stating that they wouldn't have been in if not for the Colts pulling their players. They were gifted that game. Its either here nor there.

I can't stand the guy, I hope they get blown out even though they have a USC QB! He does sound like a clown, but really I don't mind it. Having to see Belechick on t.v. here in mass as well as listening to him on WEEI. It does get very annoying because he has the same tone of voice and gives you nothing what so ever.I'd rather see coaches like ryan, parcells and guys that actually say something. Sure Ryan talks to much... but who cares... all it is is a coach showing his players he's got confidence in them. They respond to it... so why not! And the coolest part about Sundays Jets/Colts game... is we can finally see what happens and put to bed who would have won the regular season matchup! f the Jets win everyone on the planet needs to be quiet.. and if the Colts win the Jets fans have to admit they would have lost the game the Colts rested players in. But that's just a sidebar at this point... and a thing of the past
This game is to see who reaches the SUPER BOWL! If the Jets get there the players, coaches, fans etc... are NOT going to care if anyone still thinks they caught a break to get in. In sports you need to catch some breaks... and you need to take advantage of them! Teams do this 'resting' key players ALL THE TIME! The only reason it was such a big deal this time was because the Colts were unbeaten and didn't try for the perfect season.
There are tons of teams over the years who got a 'break' in the schedule to help their playoff chances. It's just the luck of the draw I guess. And you still have to get the job done when you get a break! I remember there was a year where a playoff spot was on the line... and I think the Steelers played the Bills and one of them rested players... and still won. i can't remember which team was going for the Wild Card playoff spot. But the point is you still need to take care of business.
