So another exciting week of football has come and gone (and my beloved Niners lost T_T). What do you think happens this week?

My predictions:

(So far: 13-3 / 11-5 / 13-3)

  1. CHI>Det - Sorry Lions, one win is enough.
  2. Cin>CLE - CIN is legit; the Browns definately are not LOLOL.
  3. HOU>Oak - As much as I want the Raiders to win, it will takea miracle.
  4. IND>Sea - Peyton Manning vs. Seneca Wallace. End of story.
  5. Ten>JAC - They will (finally) step it up and avoid 0-4.
  6. Nyg>KC - The Giants will put pressure on Cassel all day.
  7. NE>Bal - Great game, but in the end Tom Brady shows his magic.
  8. WAS>Tb - Battle of losers. TB is in trouble, and WAS wants redemption.
  9. Buf>MIA - Another good game. I think this will be T.O.'s breakout day.
  10. NO>Nyj - Iit won't be as close as most think.
  11. DEN>Dal - The Broncos will destroy Tony Romo.
  12. SF>Stl - The Niners will be looking for a team to pound after last week.
  13. PIT>Sd - Another thriller; Big Ben will win the game.
  14. MIN>GB - Game of the week. Favre will win this won.

This week will definately be a great one, with the Ravens visiting the Patriots, the Jets playing at New Orleans, Dallas flying over to Denver, San Diego travelling to Pittsburgh for a grudge match, and the Monday night football game of the decade: Brett Favre vs. the Green Bay Packers.

As much as it disgusts me to do so, I hope the Packers kill the Vikings. The team itself I couldn't care less about, but **** Favre to hell. This douchebag has been the bane of my existence for the last 13 years.

Don't underestimate the Broncos defense. With Romo not playing lights out unless its the Bucs, i expect it to be a close game. Whether the Broncos of Cowboys will win, that will have to wait till Sunday. :P

I would have loved to watch your reaction to the game on Sunday

Monday's night game is going to be so epic............ but I am going to be working. I should be able to catch the 4th Q. My love for Favre only goes so far, time for my Packers to put the old man in his place

Last week-11-5

Overall-31-17

Buccaneers @ Redskins-Bucs have been scoring close to twenty points a game, Skins have been giving up close to twenty points a game. Cadillac's going to have a big game against a Washington D that's giving up over 100 yards rushing per game. Tamp'as weak against the pass, though, and I expect a high-scoring game because of weak defenses. I'm not sure if this is technically an upset, but it's the closest thing I've got to one this week. Bucs 21-17

Ravens @ Patriots-VERY high-scoring game. The third and fifth passing offenses, the seventeenth and sixth passing defenses. Ravens have the edge in rushing, both teams are scoring 20+ points a game with Baltimore having the edge. I'm going to have to go against my gut and take the ravens in a close one. Ravens 30-27 GOTW

Lions @ Bears-It was a nice little vacation for the Lions, wasn't it? The Bears are better than the Redskins. Another underachieving win for the Bears, but they pull it off. Bears 20-13

Titans @ Jaguars-Man, if the Titans don't pull this one off they've got problems. I just can't imagine Garrard having a better day than Collins, though, and MJD should be slowed by a spectacular run D. Jags aren't exaclty slouches in that category, but Johnson should tear them up. Titans 24-16

Raiders @ Texans-I'm done picking the Raiders, it keeps coming back and biting me in the ass. The Texans aren't exactly living up to expectations, butthere's no waythat Raiders offense can hold Schaub and Johnson. Texans 35-7

Bengals @ Browns-Two 0-16 teams in two years? It could happen. This one won't even be close. In fact, I'd rather be 0-16 than go as long as the Browns have without a touchdown on offense. Look for Palmer's first big game of the season here. Bengals 30-6

Seahawks @ Colts-Hard to predict the score if I don't know if Hasselbeck is playing, but not hard to predict the outcome. Peyton Manning's just too good, and a defense that can't stop Jay Cutler through the air won't stop Manning, no matter what the numbers say. Look for it to resemble the Chicago game, though. Colts 20-16

Giants @ Chiefs-It's Bob Euker week in the NFL, there's a surplus of laffers. My only dillema here is by how many points do I pick the Giants, and dare I predict a shutout? What the hell, I'll go for it. Giants 41-0

Bills @ Dolphins-Two very evenly matched teams. The difference here, Buffalo's run D doesn't match up to Miami's run O. I'll take Miami in my sleeper of the week. Dolphins 33-27

Jets @ Saints-The stats say pick the Jets, but my gut says pick the Saints. Very high-scoring, but I think the Saints have a better turnover ratio this game. Saints 31-27

Rams @ 49ers-After a big loss it's nice to have a bounceback game, and that's exactly what this will be. Rams won't be able to stop them, and won't stand a chance against that Niners' D. 49ers 24-3

Cowboys @ Broncos-I have not had any luck at all picking against Denver, but my luck is about to change. Josh McDaniels, meet your first big challenge. Close game, but Dallas comes out on top. Cowboys 31-24

Chargers @ Steelers-Polamalu's out, Pittsburgh's D is in trouble. Running is going to be unimportant in this one, the passing game will be what matters. Rivers outplays Big Ben in a close one. Chargers 24-20

Packers @ Vikings-Green Bay Packers are twenty-third against the run, that does not bode well against Adrian Peterson. I don't care how well Aaron Rodgers plays, unless Favre completely reverts to the form he had at the end of last season the Packers don't stand a chance. Vikings 34-17

Favre'll get his comuppance later in the season when his body starts to break down again and defenses get more agressive. I still think his gunslinging may cost them either a playoof berth or an earlyplayoff game. The Packers, though, are not going to put him in his place this week. On one hand I'm glad because as much as I hate both Favre and the Vikings, I still hate the Pack more. On the other hand, if the Vikings and Bears tie at the end of the season one of the tiebreakers is common opponents and I don't want them to have the edge. What a cunundrum.

When it happened, I actually wasn't all that pissed. I let a F-bomb loose, but not like a scream or anything like that. For some odd reason, the pain has been getting worse as time goes on though. I've also made sure to stay away from ESPN at least for this week, as well as avoid all replays of it. Oh, and make that 14 years. 95, 96, and 97 would have all been without a doubt niner SB wins if it wasn't for this guy. Then he had to go and do it again in 2001, and all this isn't even counting the regular season.

10 - 6 last week puts me at 29 - 19 on the year.

my picks

Tampa Bay vs. Washington - I like Josh Johnson to make a statement and lead the bucs to a win

Bal vs NE - ravens win a very close match

DET vs CHI - nice to see lions get a win last week, don't see it happening this week. bears win

TEN vs JACK - this is the week. TEN wins

OAK vs HOU - Texans win

CIN vs CLE - Bengals win

SEA vs INDY - Seattle wins......my upset, its definitely a reach, but hey who knows

NYG vs KC - Giants win

BUF vs MIAMI - if pennington was playing then maybe miami wins, but without him. Buffalo wins

NO vs NYJ - gonna to be real close. I think jets are a nightmare matchup for saints passing. Still I like the saints running game to give them a win. Saints win.

STL vs SF - 49ers beat up on rams to avenge last weeks heart breaker.

DAL vs DEN - broncos win

SD vs PIT - a desperate steeler team gets the win

GB vs MIN - Vikings win.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Washington Redskins - Well, I think Tampa will be getting their first win. Bucs: 24-14

Baltimore Ravens @ New England Patriots - This game will be an all out brawl, and perhaps a passing of the torch. Ravens: 31-27

Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears -The Lions finally won, too bad they won't this week. Bears: 31-20

Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars - I picked against the Jags and for the Titans last week, looks like I'm doing it again. Titans: 20-13

Oakland Raiders @ Houston Texans - Look for the Texans to bounce back against the Raiders. Texans: 34-10

Cincinatti Bengals @ Cleveland Browns - The Bengals are legit, and the Browns should just quit. The Browns may go another without a TD. Bengals: 31-9

Seattle Seahawks @ Indianapolis Colts - The Colts have really surprised me this year after an offseason of doubt. They will take this one also. Colts: 27-16

New York Giants @ Kansas City Chiefs - The Chiefs are really bad and the Giants are really good, it is as simple as that. Giants 34-7

Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins - The Bills have really surprised me so far. They killed the Bucs and should have beaten the Pats. Miami is a polar oposite for me. Bills will improve to 2-2 and T.O. will have a catch or two. Bills: 34-21

New York Jets @ New Orleans Saints - Wow, who thought these teams would start out 3-0. The Jets great D will play a good game with the Saints O. A great game, but the Saints willtake it. Saints:28-24

St. Louis Rams @ San Francisco 49ers - To think the Niners could easily be 3-0 now, who'da thunk it. The 49ers are out for revenge, and I think they just might get it. 49ers: 27-9

Dallas Cowboys @ Denver Broncos - Are the Broncos contenders or pretenders? I am going to pick pretenders on the one. Despite the injury to Felix Jones, the Cowboys will out-match and dominate the Broncos. Cowboys: 31-17

San Diego Chargers @ Pittsburgh Steelers - The Chargers will go to Pittsburgh and avenge their playoff loss along with handing the Steelers their 3rd straight loss. Chargers: 24-17

Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings - Wow, what more could you ask for in an early regular season game. A long-time hero going to the enemy's side, what a ****c. Aaron Rogers has something to prove, and I believe he will succeed. Packers: 21-17GOTW

10-6 last week.

31-17 overall.

You say that every time someone picks someone to beat the Cowboys. They're bound to lose at least a couple this season, you know.

31-17 overall.maverick41

Matching records and two differing picks, the plot thickens.

No, I don't say that every time. Maybe some other fans do, but not me. But the Broncos are still very unproven, and they've had an easy schedule so far so BACK OFF.

Don't underestimate the Broncos defense. With Romo not playing lights out unless its the Bucs, i expect it to be a close game. Whether the Broncos of Cowboys will win, that will have to wait till Sunday. :P

I say this every week regardless of who Dallas is playing. Just how I feel :P

Lol, I say the same about the Patriots. If people keep track to my predictions I have the Patriots going undefeated every year. You can call me a homer like that :)

Bears Vs Lions - While it was nice seeing the Lions win one, I dont see them winning this. I choose Bears
Bengals Vs Browns - Im not convinced the Bengals are THAT great but you don't have to be great to beat the Browns so I choose Bengals.
Texans Vs Raiders - Slaton is going to have a field day in my opinion, Texans win
Colts Vs Seahawks - Simple choise, Colts win
Titans Vs Jaguars - Upset of week for me, Going with Jaguars,I am not convinced Titans are the same team from last year at all.
Giants Vs Chiefs - Giants will win, especially after big win last week
Patriots Vs Ravens - Ravens defense will beat up on Brady who is no where near in his groove.
Redskins Vs Bucs - Redskins will win because they need too, they just lost to Lions
Bills vs Dolphins - I think the wildcat will take the Bills, so I choose Miami in close one
Saints vs Jets (Game of the Week for me) - While I would love my Jets to win and I think they can, they have to stop Brees. Have to give choise to Saints though.
Broncos Vs Cowboys - Toss up for me, but going to give it to Cowboys.
49ers Vs Rams - 49ers win.
Steelers Vs Chargers - Think Steelers d is going to step it up this week and win it for them.
Vikings Vs Green Pay - While I am still mad Farve killed the start of a great season for my Jets last year, I think this is beyond revenge for him so I expect one of his best games. Going with Vikings.

This is first week doing this. Lets hope for good week!

Whoa, dude, chill. If you'll notice, I basically said as much about the Broncos in my pick. Still, I think they havea shot and I don't think people are, "funny," for picking them. And it is at least the second week in a row you've said that. Anyways, I agree, Dallas wins.

I was just kidding with the back off thing. Last week, I only questioned you picking the Panthers because our rushing attack was great against the Giants. This week i'm just joking and being an idiot at the same time.

Ravens at Pats. Perfect chance to see if Brady can step it up, and if the Ravens are for realz. The Packers vs. Vikings is at Minnesota so I don't think it's gonna be nearly as intresting, as when it happens in Green Bay

DET @ CHICIN @ CLE OAK @ HOU If they can't beat the Raiders they will be a pretender this year... SEA @ INDTEN @ JAC NYG @ KC BAL @ NE NE has been disappointing, if they can't win this game...donno TB @ WAS Portis will be running all over em BUF @ MIA NYJ @ NO I think this is the first week we see Brees slowed down a bit...will see if NYJ can make it happen..if they can't though NO all the way :D DAL @ DEN STL @ SFSD @ PIT Pit hasn't been doing good without Pola.. GB @ MIN This is gonna be a great game..anyone could win this one..but Minn just has the better all around team but I could see with a good showing of GB's D and the GB pass game, it is definitely plausible and possible. A lot of hard choices..especially Pit v SD, GB v Min and Bills v Phins would be hard if Pennington wasn't out..(he's out right? :D) I'm not really sure which I would want to watch..but I put Pats v Ravens..the one I was second guessing on was NYJ v NO

Good day for me. I'm glad the Redskins redeemed themselves even though we still look mediocre. The Cowboys lose and I have another win in my fantasy league thanks to Peyton Manning, Derrick Mason and Johnny Knox for that TD return.

I knew Denver was going to win. That defense just like i knew they would stopped Dallas and Orton to Marshall was huge. People shouldn't sleep on Denver and people shouldn't overrate Romo and the Cowboys.

Yep, still more fraud talk. What do we have to do to get some credit? Start 10-0?
