Too bad the West lost, but I'm just glad Joe Thornton FINALLY got his first ASG point and very happy that Nabby was able to pitch the shutout and make two great saves off Kovy. It seems he's finally getting the recognition from around the league that he deserves.

I love hockey, and frankly don't understand the criticisms of it.

It's boring?

-Basketball is boring, running up and down a court is not exciting, get over it

-Watching Baseball on TV is boring as hell, way too slow, I like the sport, but in comparison it lacks.

Can't follow the puck?

-You need glasses

Not enough Scoring?

-Really? You realize football has a lot of points scored because each score is either 3 or 7 right?, if hockey went to that format it would be way higher scoring than the NFL (btw i also live football)

Also I am not a Canadien, there are some American hockey fans.

Go Sabres !

From New York, Islanders fan here. Hockey is my fav sport to watch live and on tv. I dunno how people can say its boring. Im not even being bias. To me i get more excitement in hockey with scoring chances then actual scoring. That to me is hockey amazing shots and amazing goal saves. It gets you going.

I gotta say Football this year was a big thing for me also. Not just seeing the Giants get in, but the whole Packers reborn story, The Patriots whole dam season, and the Colts and the Chargers and the etc etc.

Baseball to me is just a joke. I'll never understand how its still so popular. Use to be amazing, now a joke. Hockey will never get big in America again sadly. It seems everyone jumped on the Rangers bandwagon in 1994 and that was it. I hate the Rangers with passion, but even i could say this year they should have done much better as it would have prob helped hockey in America alot more. And with Crosby out thats a big dent to.

I think Tennis is more exciting then Baseball, and Tennis is not my kind of sport. Hell Tetris on my 1989 Gameboy is more exciting.

I'm from New York also (now living in Shark Country, lol), but a Ranger fan.

The Rangers are one of the oldest and most legendary franchises in the NHL dude, of course they're gonna have more fans. People jumped on the bandwagon back in the 1920's, lol.

The Islanders were once a prestigious organization, but they really struggle to put butts in the Coliseum (admit it man, going to Uniondale is an awful experience, even going to NCC was a drag, lol.), and when I've gone, its been a less than pleasant experience, even almost getting assaulted for talking to a Bruins fan, while a 6 year old in a Bruins jersey was booed.

That being said, and I hate saying it, but the weekend made me a fan of DiPietro. That being said, I still think Lundqvist is better, lol.
