I would say west because of the Red Wings and Canucks

If the Avs were in the Eastern Conference they would have been the 6th seed there, but instead they ended being 9th in the Western Conference.

west, but bufflo, new jersey, ottwa, pittsburg, and even tampa can play with anyone in the west, but the west is better overall right now

West by far. If Buffalo was in the west they would have had a tough time cracking the top 5 seeds. Nothing like playing Boston, Toronto and Montreal 8 times each a season to boost your numbers.

East, and the world will see that after the Rangers win the Lord Stanley's Cup. Last year everyone said the West was better then look what happened with Carolina.

True but I think we can all agree the teams in the west are much better. So Detroit has to play tougher teams more often. Other than Buffalo, New Jersey, Ottawa and Pittsburg there weren't any consistently good teams in the East, and even Ottawa and Pittsburg were shaky at times. Compare that to the 1-7 seeds in the West.
