FOX is hyping this as the "Game of the Year." Anyway, who got this one?

Vikings look good but in a number of games this year their pass defense suddenly turns nonexistent late in the game and Rodgers is a good QB.duxupyea, they have a habit of doing that after halftime most of the time.
Picked the packers, although I dont expect them to win since Rodgers is horrible this year (so is the O line)
um where why do you say rodgers is horrible this year? his QB rating up till this game was 110, had 11 TD's to 2 INTS's and 1700yrds, add another 2 TD's so far after tonight. He has also completed 65% of his passes on the year.Picked the packers, although I dont expect them to win since Rodgers is horrible this year (so is the O line)

Green Bay has the Offense to hang with anyone, but the o and d line is this teams weakness, and thats a big weakness.
give em credit for coming back, but wasn't enough.
[QUOTE="Tjeremiah1988"]duxup and so it beings. The Vickings D nonexistence. duxupIt is like clockwork. I don't know what the deal is but I suspect a conditioning problem with the D in general along with some holes in their DBs.
Part of it's pressure. They were sacking Rodgers a lot in the first half, but in the second all they were doing was pressuring him. Against some QBs that's enough, and maybe with better coverage it's enough, but against Rodgers and those receivers with a weak secondary you need to get Rodgers to the ground.

I was just thinking about how everyone is giving Favre credit for this win, but if Rodgers had the team behind him that Favre does he'd be just as good if not better. What GB really needs to do is try and get something for Kampman in a trade, although that's not going to happen until after the end of the season now. He's just not cut out for a 3-4 system and they could probably get really good value for him.

As a Vikings fan if I had to pick to start the season I'd much rather the Vikings have Rodgers than Farve.[QUOTE="theone86"][QUOTE="Innovazero2000"]

As a Vikings fan if I had to pick to start the season I'd much rather the Vikings have Rodgers than Farve.I gotta give Favre credit, he's done a lot better than I thought he would. Younger is always better, though, it just takes away some of that uncertainty. I do think, though, that part of that is having the running threat and the superior defense. You see what Favre is like when you put the team on his shoulders his last couple of years in Green Bay and New York, when you have a gameplan and can have him pick up chunks of yardage he's miles better.

The guy has been sacked 25 times this year and its already half of the season.Sorry but Rodgers needs to learn how to do quick throws/routes, something the Packers were well known for when Favre played for them.Theres no excuse for holding on the ball when you got one of the best WR duo's in the league (Jennings and Driver) who can get the extra yards even on short throws.
But you know what, i'll give it to Rodgers its not all his fault, you can partially blame the O line also.
Am I the only Viking fan getting a little irritated by the piss poor second half playing secondary we have?!
I'm so sick of being ahead 24-3 and having big leads..and always blowing them and having it be a game..
I swear everyone said when it was 24-3 wow this is going to be a huge blow out, I feel good about the Vikings this year...
And I was the only one who said I guarantee you the Vikings will be the Vikings and blow things up..just watch.. and I was right..
We still won but jeez I don't want to take blood pressure pills before Week 12.

So far he's thrown the majority of his passing attempts in the 1-10 yard range, the second highest category being the 11-20 yard range, and his passer rating is highest in the 1-10 yard range.

Why do you think Favre has the pick record? Can't say I'm pissed at Rodgers for holding the ball more often then Favre. Favre forced so many balls in Green Bay when he got flushed and Rodgers learned not to.[QUOTE="theone86"][QUOTE="Innovazero2000"]

He should get no blame for these losses, he does everything he can.Am I the only Viking fan getting a little irritated by the piss poor second half playing secondary we have?!

The Vikings were without Antoine Winfield. Also I blame the defensive play calling, they seemingly stopped bringing in the pressure and played passive and good QBs like Rodgers can pick apart defenses with no pressure.

Rodgers is good no doubt, but he does take needless sacks, and id say 30% of the sacks he takes he could easily get rid of it safely, without fear of interception. Its early in his career, and that takes time to develop so im not gonna throw him under the bus completely....yet.
On a side note im still pissed about last week where we got robbed on our loss against the steelers. Should be 8-0, but ill take it anyway. Toughest part of our schedule and we went 2-1, and played very well for the most part in our loss. I wasnt sure what to think of the Vikings up until this point, but i definitely could see a Superbowl in their future. They are getting better and better every week. The only part that kinda scares me is that fact that AP isnt leading the offense anymore. He makes sure though that people remember who he is 3-4 times a game though, so i guess its not too bad cause obviously he can still split apart D lines, but id like to see a more even split between run and pass. I guess it just seems like AP is lazy cause he knows his QB can get the 1st down every time now.
This is big, Vikings now have a 2.5 game lead and will win the tie breaker.monkeytoes61
Vikings are going 13-3 at the very least and 15-1 if all the stars align. NFC North is all locked up if you look at the upcoming schedule for the Vikings. The remaining teams they go against have a combined total of 28-28 record, and that's deceiving considering 5 wins come from the NY Giants who have proven they cannot beat teams above .500, and the other 5 come from the Bengals, they are actually decent though. Kurt Warner has turned into Brett Favre's disciple ala 2004. With the bye week, and then a fresh start against the Lions, and then the Seahawks the Vikes dont have an actuall decent opponent, and im stretching the word decent until week 12 against the Bears.
Again 115 passer rating, 13 TD's 2 INT's 1900 yrds 65% completion percentage, numbers don't lie. If the routes aren't designed for quick slants or check downs who the hell is he gonna throw to? You don't want him forcing throws, and he shifts in the pocket as good as anyone, but if the o-line can't block, even the greatest of quarterbacks have problems.I like Rogers, but he just needs to get rid of the ball faster. He knows his line isn't that great. Also, Favre makes the2-4 throws that Rogers can't, and that's the difference between the two and it's what separates the good and the great.
