No-Trade Clause Cannot trade this player without receiving his consent. Only a player with at least 8 years of NBA experience, including at least 4 years with the team he is signing with, is eligible to negotiate a no-trade clause into his contract.

Outgoing Players: Ricky Davis, Randy Foye, Rashad McCants, Marko Jaric

Lakers get young talent with Randy Foye and Rashad McCants, a somewhat decent point guard with Marco Jaric, and Ricky Davis is dangerous when he's on fire, Minnesota gets an amazing duo with Kobe and Garnett, Garnett will be happy, they will also sell tons of tickets. Only problems are would Kobe want to play in Minnesota and would the TWolves have the balls to pull off the trade. This trade does also work when NBA Rules are applied. If anyone has better trades please post them.

Ok, why not trade Lamar Odom, Andrew Bynum, and Kwame Brown for KG. Then Kobe and the Lakers would be happy.

Seriuosly if Kobe and KG united with the Lakers, they can be contenders for the NBA finals.

Minnesota and Los Angeles should seriously work out a deal, they seem like the two best teams that would work rite here, cuz Boston wouldnt work...New York wouldnt...cant see the Clippers with Kobe...cant see Detroit or Cleveland...not PHX...like Twolves and Lakers are perfect what are they waiting for!

AS a Minnesotan I find that getting Kobe is a very exciting thought.

I don't know how eager the Lakers would be to trade Kobe to a West team but your 2nd scenario looks tempting. Personally, I dont know about Andrew Bynum being all that. It seems the only team that is hyped about him, is the Lakers. Chances are Kobe heads East, if the Lakers even decide to move him.

If I were MN I'd only make that trade if you took Troy Hudson off our hands too.

Chicago seems to be the front-runner. Kobe Bryant is the only player in my mind that actually likes the comparisons to Jordan. He would love nothing more than to be the 2nd coming of Jordan. Chicago would have to give up their stock of young talent (Deng, Thomas and/or Hinrich) ....and the #9 pick. Chicago would also demand that Kobe restructure his contract so he can't opt out after 2 years. Last thing Chicago would want is to give up all their young talent to see Kobe walk in 2 years. This seems to be the best fit for Kobe and the Lakers. While Kobe would seem to be leaving the thin Lakers for what would be the thin Bulls after the trade, in the East he could carry that team to the Finals (cough *Lebron* cough).

One thing that shouldn't be an issue, but is because L.A. is what it is: They need star power. They need that big name to keep the celebs coming and justify the high ticket prices. Even if a trade with Chicago would add a lot of good young talent, it still would not appeal to the Lakers because of the "star" issue. Ben Gordon, Andres Noccioni, even Luol Deng? Not quite Kobe Bryant. Here is what I think this is a good situation for all teams involved. A three team deal with Chicago, LA and Minnesota. Chicago packages a Ben Gordon, Andres Noccioni, the 9th pick, etc, and send them to Minnesota. Minnesota would send KG and maybe another player to L.A. L.A. sends Kobe to Chicago. Minnesota gets deeper, L.A. gets its star in KG, and Chicago gets Kobe. Of course, there are probably other players that would have to be involved for cap purposes, but in general, I think this would work. I'm a Bulls fan, so I would hope that they don't package Luol Deng in the deal. Kobe would be in the same situation in Chicago if they traded too much of their core away.

Right on the money! All these other ideas couldn't work exept this one! Some of these other trade ideas were horrible and they couldn't happen because of value. You can't get the value of kobe for ricky davis or a rookie.
