ALright, put your bias of hating Barry Bonds to the side and answer this question...

When he reaches close to Hank Aarons record.....would you let him play Away games????

I know i wouldnt, i would never do that to him....if he breaks the record anywhere other than in San Fransisco, its gonna be hell....I just wouldnt do that to him.....it would be bad for baseball to have him hit it and people start booing him, when they show the clip of him hitting it years from now, you think we want to hear everybody booing him?? Or do we want to see excitement over a historic moment..

And on a side note...i dont think half the people that hate barry bonds for the steroids thing even know the first thing about steroids and what they do...You just dont take steroids and you automatically get tons of muscle and you get a lot stronger....you still have to work out a ton and stay trained and stuff....its pretty much what Weight Gainer is only 10x more effective...

Taking steroids doesnt make you an automatic better hitter...all it does is make you stronger....do you guys understand how hard it is to make contact with the ball?? Doing that alone makes you a great hitter....never mind making perfect contact with it while having a quick level swing..

And as you can see from last night, its not easy to hit a homerun for left handers at that field.....the left handers were getting pitches right down the middle and the entire point of the entire thing was to hit HR's, and they couldnt even do it...Barry Bonds is just a great hitter....

You still have to be a GREAT hitter to do what Barry Bonds did even if hes on steroids...do you know how many players take steroids in the minor leagues and still arent good enough to make the professionals?? Remember Jeramy Giambi? He took steroids and wasnt good enough to play for the red sox minor league team...

I think you guys have the wrong impression on what steroids do, they dont automatically make you a good hitter..

*equiqs anti-flame shield* for u just in case

it depends.. he prolly wants to obliterate the record.. so resting him just to make the momoent "historic" might not be a good idea.. UNLESS.. u wait till he's about 3 off... then sit him... but after he breaks it.. regardless of where he goes.. the boos will rain down on him like fire and brimstone...

hasn't he hit all of his historical HRs at home anyway.... i think that just adds to the suspicion. but in any case I would be shocked - more than shocked - astounded- if he were to hit it during an away game.....

Yep, just like Aaron, Bondswas a great hitter. It's just too bad that he had to take roids to break the HR record and Aaron didn't.

well if your goal as a manager is too win games then you should put your best players out, therefore start Bonds in LF for his offense.

Too true, plus, he says he is going to play next year so if he feels good he will want to play away game or not.

There been a lot of talk on the radio here in San Francisco about where he'll break the record. I'm pretty sure he'll do it here in the beautiful ball park of San Francisco for the fans and to avoid the boo away.

he better not break it here in San Diego, because boos (and trash) will rain down on him

I went to a game at Petco last year, and someone threw a syringe at him. IF he breaks the record in another park, he will get booed most likely. I tell you what though. If Griffey hadn't gotten hurt for a few seasons, he would be right there with Bonds.

I hope he hits 754, 755, and 756 in the same game and saves us the media blitz.

Tis true. Griffey would be right with Bonds or maybe even ahead right now! But that's how all sports are. There are people that would be breaking records left and right if they didn't get hurt so much... Just goes to show that you have to be durable as well as good.

I hope he breaks the record at home, but if not, I'd still be cheering for him even if everone else boos. He hasn't been proven guilty of taking steroids. Just because he looks like it, doesn't mean he did it. Look at Rogers Clemens for gods sake---why hasn't he been investigated, oh yea, he's not breaking the home record, that's why.

He better not break it in Atlanta for obvious reasons. Hank Aaron broke it fairly, we don't need to see Barroid do it.

About the nonesense of how roids don't make players better at hitting? Yeah, that's a good one.

At this rate he's going to break it at Dodger Stadium, and there's no way in Hell they'll cheer a Giant, especially him, for doing something like that.

So I'd bench him and keep my fingers crossed that the Nationals put the bottom half of their rotation into effect when they come to San Fran.

If nothing happened with Bonds, why would he be scared to speak the truth? I'm sure he's just waiting until someone with a book deal is willing to dish out more money than what Bond's will give him.

I hope Barry Bonds gets 754, stays at 754 until his last home game, where he gets out every time, except for one hit in the bottom of the 9th that's almost a home run, but one of the outfielders jumps over the wall and catches it.
