Not just on best five players at every position but also chemistry wise, because having 5 scorers and no defenders and garbage guys wont work. Heres my team

C- Hakeem- IMO best center ever.

PF- Dirk Nowitzki- Dirks outside shooting complements Dreams inside play, obviously Duncan is better, but Duncan and Hakeem couldnt both operate down low.

SF- Dennis Rodman- Bird or Pippen are much better, but I need a gritty defender and a rebounder someone that does all the dirty work. Arugably Best defender of all time and rebounder.

SG- Reggie Miller- I need a deadeye 3 point shooter that spaces the floor, obviously Jordan is better but Jordan Dirk and Hakeem would be overkill offensively.

PG-Gary Payton- paired with Rodman and Hakeem makes this a monster team defensively. GP could do anything and lock down.

I feel like I have enough blend offensively and diffensively. Floor is spaced I have shooters and I have inside play. My number one option is Hakeem and then Dirk, with Reggie feasting from double teams. GP and Rodman provide toughness and grit.

Best 5 ever

Hakeem

Duncan

Bird/Pippen

Jordan

Magic

This is a team that like and if I could build a team it would look something like this. C & PF- I want my PF to be my go to guy offensively and my Center to be an anchor defensively. IMO, championships are won by PFs and Centers, so they are the heart and soul of my team. Force my opponent to realize his only hope is shooting from outside. When they shot low percentage shots from the perimeter, no second chances.. Here I have Malone at the 4 (IMO, he HAS to always be par with Stockton), and Bill Russell at the 5. SF- I think Small forwards should be the most versatile player on the court. He should be capable of guarding the 2, 3, and in some match ups the 4 and be capable of both creating his own shot and move without the Ball. So Larry Bird is the pick for me here. SG- I like my shooting guards to move without the ball, and be able to spread the floor. They don't have to play great defense, but they have to be able to hold their own on the perimeter and if the opposing shooting guard drives, I want them to play smart and guide them to my Center/Power Forward. Ray Allen is my man here. PG- I will always want Stockton running the point for my team. Great defender. Good shooter. Amazing passer. He is my prototypical PG that I compare all others to.

C- The Dream (...or Jabbar)

PF- Kevin Garnett

SF- Julius Erving (Don't sleep on the ABA Doc!)

SG- Kobe (You already know!)

PG- Gary Payton!

Great floor general to run the show, offense at every position (3 of the most creative/unstoppable ever), stellar defense at 4 positions, front court rebounding, finishers, energy, atheleticism, versatility, fire, mental toughnes, killer instinct......

Taking on all comers !!!

Since there's no NBA I might as well roll with this.

Alternate line up:

C - Jabbar

PF - Rodman

SF - J. Worthy

SG - Jordan

PG - Magic
