I think he's a fantastic fighter, but he gets overlooked often because he volume punches and doesn't ever seem to want to end a fight. I think he's a fantastic boxer, but he lacks that killer instinct that makes a true fan favorite. I actually think that there are a lot of guys in the WW division that ould beat him. If you watch his fight against Margarito, he won because Margarito did nothing for half the fight. If Carlos Quintana, a C+ level fighter can beat him (yes I know Williams ko'd him in the rematch) by pressuring him and making him uncomfortable, he would have problems with Mosley or Margarito, assuming Margarito actually fights for more than half the fight.hillelslovak
Those are the only 2 that could offer him a challenge imo. Fighters get better with more ring experience. Williams is becoming a better boxer with each fight. He's only 27 and has a lot left in him. Also Quintana isn't a great fighter, but he is a worthy opponent. He did beat an undefeated Joel Julio who was at one point thought to be the best up and coming fighter out there and his other loss was to Miguel Cotto. Not a bad record, but PW should have beat him regardless of that.
I just think his size, reach advantage, and fighting style would be too much for most welterweight fighters. Him vs. Mosley would be interesting but I think PW would pull it out. I remember the Margarito fight, and I was upset because I am actually a Margarito fan and wanted him to win that one. I'm not sure how a fight between them would go now. I'll wait and see how Margarito looks when he makes his comeback. I'd love to see PW fight Mayweather, Cotto, Mosley, Clottey, and Berto. If he could win all those fights, he would without a doubt in my mind be the best ww and possibly one of the best ever.
