The best college players get drafted to the worst teams in the NFL. That player usually doesn't change the team drastically, and many times the team does bad that season and go nowhere. Reggie Bush was drafted to the Saints, who were 3-13, didn't even have their field, and were overall a broken up team.
So they sign Drew Brees, and they go 10-6, and go to the NFC Championship! Very rarely will a team like this go to the NFC Championship after going 3-13 the year before. I'm sure Reggie Bush thought that he would have a bad season with a bad team. Most of the time the best college players won't be on a team that goes that far in the season.
Do you think that Reggie Bush was lucky to go to a team that did so well when they did so horrible the season before? I think almost everyone thought they were going to do bad, and most of the time Heisman players don't go on teams that go this far.

Whoops, I mean I knew he wasn't drafted, I knew he used to play for the Chargers, but I just said the wrong way. Either way, High college draft picks don't usually go so far in their first NFL season.
It was truly an amazing season, and Reggie didn't start to his his stride until around week 12 or so when he had that amazing game vs. the 49ers, when he stopped dancing around and ran in straight lines upfield. So the season didn't always look great for Reggie, but still a good year. The Saints are a few key pieces away from hoisting the Lombardi trophy, here's hopin' for an even better 2007. 8)
More of a surprise that a heisman winner actually positively contributed. So many in the past have been bad(at least their first year) or changed positions(like a few QBs) or just changed sports (ala Charlie Ward - Florida State QB - plays in the NBA for some years)

grahahahahahaahaha cant get tired of that one lol saints disgust me. everyone feels sorry for the them becuase of the hurricane and now they want them to win the SB. back to subject yea hes lucky to have great players around him the saints staff is very smart though. PS: there not americas team

But if you're going to hate them, hate them for something that they can control.
it really wasnt reggie bushes fault for the siants rebound. they really approved on defense and they brought in drew brees which helped make the saints one of the top offenses. Deuce mcallister was also a pretty big hit. track me!!! accepting everyone.
i think reggie will do way better than he did this year because once he got rolling nobody could really stop him. long play after long play. i had fun watching the saints dis year
