OMG I just watched the him against the A's last night (i'm an A's fan) -_- RIP How very sad and unfortunate -_-I went to a rival high school of this kid (about 8 min away). Hewas a year older but the guys in my accounting class playedagainst himand would never stop talking about his 95 mph fastball. Everybody knew this kid was gonna make it .He was the pride of Washington County Maryland. RIP Nick
I was just watching him last night... :(rockguy92Yeah same here. His dad was watching him pitch too. What a terrible story, to see his son pitching in the major leagues, then just a couple hours later, he loses him. The drunk kid that killed him was caught though by police, so that's good news. And he was driving with a suspended license, so he shouldn't have even been driving. Hopefully he gets locked up for life. Sad stories like these are so terrible to see.
My God guys I still can't believe this. :( I've been watching MLB network tonight and to hear them talking about this is just so hard to believe. As a baseball player myself, I know this is very hard for his teammates because as a part of a baseball team, for the most part you're pretty close to all your teammates. For this to happen so suddenly is just so unreal and probably very difficult for his teammates coaches, and of course his family and friends.
I'm still sad and even got a bit teared up several times today when I thought about this.

To think that a talented 22 year old with whole major league career in front of him to be gone because of some idiot with a suspended license, is just horrible. I hope that guy gets prison for a while....like life.

Stricter punishment for DUIs but i don't think life in prison is fine. X360PS3AMD05A DUI is like shooting at someone, just that sometimes, like with guns, people miss.

Yeah, very sad news and considering I had just figured out who he was the night before when he pitched against the A's was crazy.
I think the Adenhart stuff is going overboard now
It's a horrible story and people who don't know what it's like have no idea how awful it is.
They have grief councilors and a place to lay flowers and they'll keep his locker together in Angels stadium plus on the road. They have a special patch to remember him all season and all that is fine.
They also have him on the wall in the outfield?
OK, that's a spot usually reserved for great players.
Also some people are saying "Goodbye to one of the greatest Angels of all"
No, not close, not even remotely near what is true there.
Adenhart was a player that did not do well in the league. It was this season that he finally felt that he got it all. It's a very sad story but people are blowing it out of proportion in a gigantic way.
It's one thing to honor him but it's a completely different thing to say he will always be remembered by the Angels franchise and so forth and so on.

Maybe you are the one going overboard and making no sense whatsoever. Its that hard to believe that the Angels franchise will remember Nick 50 years from now (if they last that long)?

If they last that long?
There's teams playing in the MLB that are over 100 years old

What's wrong with always remembering someone?[QUOTE="Master_Live"][QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]

What's wrong with always remembering someone? That's my point, "Jasonguy" seen to imply the Angels couldn't remember him for than long, for what reason, I don't know.[QUOTE="Master_Live"]
