Of course they lost...the Celts defense is crazy!! On top of that the Rockets don't score a ton of points....they have T-Mac and a bunch of role players that don't specialize in scoring...a 22 win streak is impressive, but they were over-achieving...sorry :?
Oh well, I can't start bashing them for being 22-1. Great streak. Let's get the no#1 seed back!manningbowl135
Um, they're still ranked number 1.

They won 10 straight games by double digits at one point. There were maybe two or three games in the streak that they won that was actually within 5 points. Rockets didn't just win, they dominated during this streak.
BTW Alston is averaging 16 points in the streak. Bobby Jackson is a shoot-first pg. Landry shoots 65% and Scola has scored 12 ppg since becoming starter. They have scorers other than T-Mac. McGrady is just tired right now b/c he's playing too much b/c of this tough schedule. Once the schedule clears up after Hornets, Suns and Warriors, they'll give him his rest.
congrats on the streak
i see a couple of you guys shooting out numbers of how good they were doing during the streak, thats fine, but of course there guna put up great numbers during a 22 game winning streak....the real question is will they go back to what they originally were? or will they at least keep up the good play?
and whats the deal with 90% of the fans leaving during the game....i thought more fans would have stayed and give a standing O or something, my hats off to the rockets and the fans that stayed till the end

I saw that too, I was kinda suprised. Fair Weather Fans.
That's a lot of pressure on T-Mac. Even the commentators said that he needed to touch the ball or put up more shots. Wow, no one is giving the Celtics any kind of credit for their defense on T-Mac. They did a great job!
The Rockets had a great run. I am happy for them to be on top of the West with a chance to get into the playoffs. But that streak had to end. And Boston did it with defense.
eventually they would need that big guy down low when their shots weren't falling. They couldn't do anything offensely and T-Mac had another bad game. Being the "star" on the team, he's gotta score more points.dcowboys3315

Everyone gave the Celtics credit for the Defence, T-Mac said after the game it was the best Defence he has seen in his 11 year nba career. (11 year or 13 i forget how long he said.)

T-Mac isn't doing anything. He hasn't broken 15+ in three games. Lakers and Hornets contained him too so Celtics didn't do anything overly special. He's not penetrating at all nowadays. I'm worried if he's getting tired.
The Spurs defense is no slouch, but the C's have been winning with playing better defense in the 2nd half. Impressive streak form the Rockets but given their schedule this week, I predicted 2 losses at least in these 5 games and they already got there. The West is very tough this year, but the addition of Cassell gives the C's the final piece in the puzzle in being a serious favorite to win the NBA title this year.

That was during their STREAK...anyways, they're back to their usual selves and only scored 69 in a loss to the Hornets!! Wonder what's going to happen to them when they play the offensive-minded Warriors...

They were a team playing well above their capabilitys. It was a beautiful thing while it was happpening and i was cheering them on to keep it up till they played us. It was great to burst their bubble. i Predict 2 more straight losses.

WRONG!!!
I knew this was going to happen lol. I actually predicted the Celtics to win this one because they have an excellent triple threat with Ray, Pierce, and Garnett. Also they're defense is just tough and you pretty much have to work for your points against this team. At least the Rockets will go to the playoffs and hopefully they will get past the 1st round with Tracy being healthy.
