So we know NO lost, is this a sign of things to come? Will this slow them like it did Indy in 2005 when they went 13-0 and lost 2 of 3 and one and done in the playoffs, or can they rebound and still win it all? Will Indy still go 16-0? Are you upset an 18-0 vs 18-0 SB wont happen now?

I haerd Sanchez is playing. It could be like when they lost to the Saints.

The Bills don't stand a chance.

Offense and Defense wins you championships, only having a D will win you one. Just ask the Ravens, Bears and Buccs.

Not only that but it's also a rare thing to see a defense carry a team to the Superbowl and win it. One could argue that last season the Steelers had a reat defense but it was there offense that scored the Td.

They had both, all teams who won more than one had both. Steelers, 49ers, Cowboys, Patriots. Look at the teams who only had a D and shaky O. Vikings had 0 wins. Also the Eagles.

The Colts defense has a great red zone defense and 2 DE's that can rattle any QB. The NO dont have that kind of talent at all.

Thats not true the Rams did with their offense in '99. Their D wasn't that great. Though they played well in the SB, which I guess is the only thing that matters.

And of course like its been said, the Rams.

too bad, I was really hoping for two 18 - 0 teams in s superbowl.

As for Indy...I'd say 16 -0 is really possible (as long as starters play)......but 19 -0 is gonna be tough. San Diego is going to behard to beat, and with a19 -0on your mind, it can affect your play. Indys got a tough road to superbowl. Notably San Diego, but they could have to replay new england (who always plays them tough, or maybe having to play Denver who played them tough the first time).

WRONG! The Packers defense performed well in their last win, they had both and the next year it perfomed bad and they lost. Reggie White......who BTW set and NFL record for sacks in an SB that year. The Broncos had both as well and held Atlanta to only 19 points. The 49ers again had both or i guess people like Deion Sanders are bad, LOL at the Colts. The Indy D was owning throughout the playoffs that year. Cowboys LOL as well. They held the Bills to combined 30 points in 2 games and never gave up more than 17 in any win. They also had Larry Brown who is tied for the most INTS in SB history. Also they held Buffalo to 0 points in the second half, one of only 5 teams to do so. Rams HA! Their D must have been bad because they held the Titans to 0 points in the first half. Defense won that game. Talk to my hand

ok. He isnt use to playing in the cold me thinks. But it dosent matter, because he threw 3 after being out for two weeks against the Falcons doesnt mean he'll do the same during the Colts game. The D is where the Jets shine and I see them stopping the Colts. Heck, people called me crazy when I went with Saints losing to Cowboys. Point is, anything can happen.

Whether offense first, or defense first, if you want to be a true contender you need both, and if your going to specialize in one, your better off having a better offense than defense because with the teams Darth_Revan listed they were offense minded teams who happened to have a good defensive presence. Harder to win a SB with a great defense and a suspect offense ask Rex Grossman and "DA BEARS". Ravens did it though in 2000, but that showed how great and special that Defense was.

Yeah I was gunna mention that I'm a Pats fan but that was obvious :P I don't hate him cause they've beaten us. Last year we had Matt Cassel and almost won, this year I'm not even gunna talk about. But him beating us has nothing to do with it, I would still hate him even if we won all those games. He's been so peppered throughout his entire career, the Manning's just bug me. I'm sure other people can relate.

Peyton Manning winning all these MVPs remind me of Nash when he won I think it was 3 straight MVPs in the NBA, nobody really stepped up that year, plus the MVP is turning into the Heisman award, instead of Most Valuable Player they give it to the best player on the best team. The real MVP talk should be Vince Young, Cedric Benson, Drew Brees, Phillip Rivers, and Peyton Manning. But the way it looks like people are saying its a surefire Manning MVP year and I beg to differ. Now as a Patriots fan to speak here i go, "F**K YOU MANNING! BRADY WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER, 3 SUPERBOWLS to 1 B**CH!" There I have vented, good day.

Well it can't be Brees because him and Manning have similar numbers and Peyton has the better record. But on the flipside it's not really fair if Manning wins it with numbers that are worse than Brees, with a record that's barely better. But I digress... PS I think Johnson should win it if he makes it to 2000, they had a good streak and 2000 yards is pretty sick.

Same here. Patriots fans are worried that another team might go 19-0. ;)

They still hate Peyton due to the Colts beating them a lot now. The hatred is fun though. Didnt Peyton and the Colts beat the Pats in the AFC championship game a while ago?

People forget N.E beat them in 2007 when they went 16-0 so what do u mean lately and last time in 2008 we had matt cassel. I just hate manning because the colts fans and the analysts always make him seem like god and give him all the credit when they win but when he plays bad in the playoffs then everyone blames the defense...just look at his playoff stats when he won the SB he throw 1TD and 3INT vs KC then 0TD and 2INT vs BAL>>>>>http://www.nfl.com/players/peytonmanning/gamelogs?id=MAN515097&season=2006................so u see it was the Defense that helped them go to the SB not the great manning powered offense

Haha and for what it's worth, Rex Grossman was the Colts' MVP, not Manning... But back to the original question, they'll probably sneak away with a close win today and dominate next week. I think they'll do it. In a way I hope they do it.

Mister__Awesome

Vince Young and Cedric Benson for MVP? Really? Hell no.

Chris Johnson should be in there along with Favre, Manning, Rivers, and Brees.
