Finally! After 18 years! The Riders win the Grey Cup!

The Roughriders defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 23-19 in a game in which the defences were the game's highlights. Both offences struggled for much of the game. Rookie quarterback Ryan Dinwiddie's first professional start did not go as well as he had planned, throwing 3 interceptions, all to James Johnson, who was awarded Grey Cup MVP for his record breaking performance.

Here is an article on it.

Never before have I felt so proud about a team winning a championship as I do now. It's absolutely amazing!

Congrats to the Roughriders. If I could watch the CFL on tv here in the US, I'd root for Saskatchewan pretty much because a good number of the San Jose Sharks are from Saskatchewan lol. That's a really stupid reason, I know haha.

There are a few channels in the US that show CFL games. I live in Phoenix and was able to see most of the Roughriders' games this season. Next season check out some of the FS channels, as well as Altitude and Comcast Sports. Those are the three networks I saw games on.

And I've heard much dumber reasons to cheer for a particular team!

Yeah it is too bad we can't watch CFL (well not that I know of) here in the states. I'd like to check it out, I went to a Winnipeg game once in Winnipeg, it was fun.

The only things I know about the CFL is that Warren Moon has allot of passing records in the CFL and Ricky Williams played a couple in the CFL games before he hurt his kneel.

Big CFL fan here. Oh man, what a great game. And no fanbase deserved a Grey Cup more than the diehard Roughriders fans. Living in Ottawa and being an ex-(Ottawa) Roughriders, and Renegades fan, it was wonderful to see a teary Kerry Joseph after winning the Cup.

I'm still pissed Toronto didn't make the finals and it's finally nice to see a football thread non-patriot related

It was amazing to see Joseph after the game! That's a guy who fully puts his heart into his play, and finally it has payed off for him! Did you hear that it was also the first time his mom has ever been to one of his games? No wonder he was so emotional afterwards!

I used to watch CFL games on TSN years ago, but i haven't been into the league lately. Maybe next year i'll start rooting for my Argos again.
