the new debate is whether the top 25 polls should include division 2 or (subdivision) whatever they are calling them now. i would usually say no , but with the appalachian state upset of michigan i'm really wondering .but MAYBE instead of allowingdiv. 2 in . they should not rank ANY teams untill everyone has played a game first , then rank em. what are yall's thoughts ?

I think it'd be too confusing. How would you rank an undefeated D-1AA team if they went undefeated, but only played other D-1AA teams throughout the season?

College football is a great game, but I dont really care for polls at all. They are about as meanful as power rankings in other sports. Anyway, I think they should. Even if they were it wouldnt matter as strength of schedule is a factor in the rankings.

If they're not ranked and are better than the teams that are ranked that seems silly.

Of course all the ranking and bowl games crap is silly...

It shouldn't include D1-AA (or FCS) teams because if they don't play against any D1 teams, then no one knows how good they really are.

Btw, Division 2 is completely different from D1-AA.

Appalacian state D1aa(Ranked 1 last year) beat Michigan[yes the big house team] D1a (Ranked 5th) Just the same Your not basing the teams off of what they are or how they play, you're basing them off their reputations, its exactly like high school sports Class A and B, Class B sometimes has the best team but they are in a lower division simply because of school size. In this instance you are subbing out school size for reputation. NDSU (my school currently tied for 1st in FCS aka D1aa and last year finished 2nd D1aa,) could easily compete agaisnt alot of the D1a also known as D1 schools. They could infact beat some of them, Their are definatly teams that would beat our asses; however, there are also teams that we could handle, People who dont think D1aa have what it takes, i feel you are ignorant and arent following every aspect, your just following the big names.

dont just reply with Your wrong, actually look into some of the statistics watch some game coverage, do what you need, youll see their is truth behind what i said.

Also im not positive about Every D1aa Team but App. state and NDSU do play D1a teams just only 1 or 2 games a season.

Yeah, and also high school teams. I think Mater Dei (CA) would be ranked higher than Michigan.

Seriously, this is a terrible idea. That means less spots for the 1A teams, and some schools live to break the top 25. If a team finishes the season 26th because a 1AA team finished 25th, that school would be pretty upset. Especially since they don't get the chance to play them.

but I also think if a div. 2 team wants to be ranked, why aren't they a division 1 team then? :?
