Apparently LeBron did, so I was just wondering if Chris Paul did.

Especially after missing an easy layup, all because he was anticipating contact. If you ask me, that's worse than LeBron missing a contested, bad angle shot from about 3 feet away.

Not in the least

He could have had 30+ points last night but then the rest of the team doesn't get involved.

San Antonio wanted him to be a scorer instead of trying to get the rest of the team involved. Everything played out well for him and he did his job, the only problem is that the rest of his team didn't follow the plan.

West only scored 20 (which was impressive but you could tell the back was bothering him) and Peja had a horrible night, of all the night's to be off this was the worst time.

The biggest part of the game is the difference in assists on the Hornets. There's a 13 assist difference between the number 1 and 2 dishers. Since Paul had 14 of them that means the next guy had one, that's just inexcusable.

Are you talking about LeBron's game 7? cause i did not think he choked on that one.

Chris Paul is new to the playoff pressure, my guess is that he is still sulking cause he didn't get the MVP.

Hmmm, interesting logic

So you think that he's upset he lost the MVP to Kobe and instead of beating San Antonio so he could then beat Kobe you think he threw in the towel. Instead of showing the world that he can beat Kobe and rightfully deserved the MVP (because you said that's the reason) you think he'd rather start the offseason now.

That's a a very unique viewpoint

Oh, I do not think either player choked. This is mainly for those people who said LeBron choked, but it's also to see who has put LeBron on a level of his own and have impossible expectations for him. I want to see if Chris Paul or any player from this moment on gets the same criticism that LeBron gets.

Peja had a horrible night, of all the night's to be off this was the worst time.

Jaysonguy

No, Peja is the epitome of choke. He did it in Sacramento and he showed it last night. I understand everyone has off nights, but it's not a coincidence when you happen to have an off-night in all the big games.

huh? Don't be a blind Kobe lover. It was a coin flip for CP3 or Kobe. Kobe only had the advantage because it was considered his carreer acheivment award since he had yet to win one.

I don't know if I'd hang it on him not being up for the challenge.

In game six when the Hornets could have closed it out he shot 50% from the field with 13 points.

If he does his usual 12-15 points a night they win

the mvp race was so close, it basically came down to who would win first place in the west. Back in march I said whoever won first place would win the mvp race and I was right. Chris Paul and the hornets somehow lost to the mavericks and Jazz and Lakers won all their games to regain their spot at 1st in the west. If Cp3 would have stayed in first place there is no doubt in my mind he would have won mvp but he didn't and because kobe finished the season stronger and got in 1st in the west he won.

Paul is really the only reason the hornets are where they are, and the only reason they even stood a chance against the almighty spurs. He played great, but he's only in his 2nd year. Give him time.

No at the very least. He showed so many critics and fans such as myself, that he is one of the elite point guards in the league. They had a very sucessful season. San Antonio just figured, if they were able to control Chris Paul, they would be able to control the whole team that way.

From what i have seen, When Chris Paul seems to be getting lik 7-8 assists for the game, NO ends up losing. When Paul gets like 12-15 asts a game, they seem to be winning. It kinda shows how the offense isnt really run through anyone else besides Chris Paul. And San Antonio was successful in the strategy of controlling Paul.

You just reiterated my point. He will get better, but I think people expected too much of him in just his 2nd year. Point guards take several years to really hone their game.

It was Pauls third year. (2005-2006, 2006-2007, 2007-2008) and i belive that Peja blew chunks in that game. He played like he had no brain.

I am going to watch what you people say about Kobe during the WCF, I expect tons of hypocrisy by some. I expect everybody who said Lebron didn't choke to say Kobe did if he doesn't play like a god this series. I'd bet money you guys will attack Kobe calling him a choker and still claim Lebron didn't.

Of course I also expect the normal attacks and mindreading of people trying to reverse this on me with no proof. Funny how some of you know how people are going to react to an event that hasn't happened yet when the person already told you they would act another way.

BTW, They both choked. Stop making excuses for these people. If Kobe doesn't play well I don't wanna see any Kobe choked a fat one threads. Even though I will see them anyway,

imo paul didnt choke

pargo was trying to be the hero and take over the game when it should of been cp3 doin that, it almost seemed like cp3 didnt have the oppourtunity to take over since pargo some how got the ball a majority of the possesions to take down the court and he would end up trying to drive or chuck up shots(although he made a couple good ones late in the game, he also missed alot)

im pretty much just really dissapointed that the ball was in pargo's hand much more than it was in cp3's hands in the 4th quarter

If the lakers lose it won't be Kobe's fault. He's the reason they're in the position they are now. I don't like him as a person, but I respect him as a ball player.

cp3 didn't choke, he anticipated contact (which i thought was the right thought). hes a 6 footer going up against two guys that are a foot taller than him, its forgivable. look at his stats, it doesn't look like a guy that choked. if anything, id be blaming peja...and the fact that pargo missed the game trying three when no one was on him.

Gasol and the Lakers as a team played well enough to get here. Kobe knows that now, I have issues with him as a person but as a player there is none better right now.
