Teixeira Goes to Angels...

As a Braves fan, I wish we could of gotten something better, but I'm sure it was the best thing the GM could find. Had to make a move with the deadline looming. Can't let him walk for nothing. Plus, Kotchman is no slouch and maybe this prospect will turn out to be something special.

This is just a very good trade, only making it superb if: 1) They sign Teixeira long term. 2) They win the WS, of course. 3) Both.

This is a young switch hitting, gold glover caliber, power hitter; everything the Angels nedded. I don't know about the prospect but the Braves got a pretty good deal too; a first baseman for the future, got out of a guy they didn't know if the would be able to sign and a prospect. After years of failing to provide any protection to Vlad Guerrero this trade might wash all that away.

C'mon, Mariners! Don't let this discourage you. All you have to do is win 30 straight and we're back in contention!

As a Ranger fan, I will hold a grudge against the Atlanta Braves for quite some time. First for taking him from us, and now for sending him into the employ of our enemy. :evil:

I really hope Teixeira isn't a rental. Those kind of trades are senseless because the GM's are only looking short term.

Anyway's, I think we can beat the Red Sox in playoffs and get to the WS this year

Hah uh noo...there are too many good teams in the AL u cant say the angels are automatic becuase of Texiera? Where'd he take the Rangers and Braves? nowhere...now granted they are not the greatest of teams but still, he doesnt have that impact. just cuz u have the best record in baseball doesnt mean ur the shoe in for the WS. u gotta combat the Rays, Red Sox, White Sox, Yanks, and the M. effin Twins. it'll be a tough road to the 'ship for any team in the AL

The Angels have been awesome all year, and now they just add another big bat, not to mention an excellent first baseman to their line up.

I'm a huge Yankee fan, and I'm VERY worried about the Angels.

Yep. Well I'm still calling for Cards/Cubs NLCS but down the stretch the Cubs are the better team. However, if we had any other bullpen we'd probably be right behind the Cubs in the NL central.
