C's just have better D, thats all to it. Next year Lakers get it. If it was in a neutral site then it would have neen a better matchup.baseballboy6411well defensive DOES win championships...but neutral site has nothing to it really...the lakers had a chance to take a 3-2 lead cause they had 3 home games in a row...but they blew one of them...kobe and the lakers have gone through this format 3 times...so i don't see what a neutral site has to do with anything

What are you talking about? The Celtics don't just have a "better D" they have a TEAM, by a lot.
The Lakers lost because of the C's D!

A nuetral site would be good because there would be no advantage to any1.

Well the Lakers wouldn't have to change much, since playing at the Staple Center is pretty much a neutral site anyway.

Do you have any idea what you are talking about, or are you just another bandwagon fan of the Lakers? I know a lot of you are like that.
Kobe had no help, and i'm not a bandwagon.Crowd is dead, they let the lead slip away and did nothing, my cousin told me everyone in the upper levels was booing and going crazy but you can't really hear that at the bottom..............X360PS3AMD05
So the crowd let the C's win game 4.

It was mainly a joke, but yeah the Lakers home crowd is probably one of the worst in the NBA. Especially comparing to Boston.

Yes, but the home court makes a huge difference for a team. The whole playoffs for the Celtics is a good example.

woah woah woah woah....WOAH did u not come in here complaining about how the lakers would stand a better chance at a neutral site?....why do u think it's called a neutral site?...is it because of the scenary?...hell no...it's about the fans AKA the crowd the crowd plays a HUGE part in a game...boston kept cheering the celtics even when they were down or losing the lead in game 2...the lakers crowd like one of the other said just booed them or left...crowds put confidence in the players and helps them play and i hate to inform u...ur a fan...so technically YOUR part of the crowd[QUOTE="IrishPunk"][QUOTE="baseballboy6411"][QUOTE="IrishPunk"][QUOTE="baseballboy6411"][QUOTE="X360PS3AMD05"]Crowd is dead, they let the lead slip away and did nothing, my cousin told me everyone in the upper levels was booing and going crazy but you can't really hear that at the bottom..............baseballboy6411

Home court advantage is awarded to the best team during the regular season, why should that change? Watching games at a neutral site would be boring with crowds not as into it, plus the fact that filling up to 7 games could be difficult. The only sport that does that is football, and they only have a one game series.

and to think, before the season started everyone said the celtics wouldnt do anything because:
when the lakers made it to the finals (before we even knew who was going to represent the east) we heard:
now i expect to hear "if bynum played..." and the celtics are a dream team

okay...so dont' blame the loss on home court advantage...the celtics earned that and the lakers had a chance to gain the lead 3-2...but like we already stated, the lakers fans just need to get into it moreyea those things were said...over and over again...the celitcs proved them wrong in every category and next year they just have to prove one more thing...they are NOT a dream team and they are just that damn goodand to think, before the season started everyone said the celtics wouldnt do anything because:
- they wouldnt be able to play together with 3 stars
- no bench
- rondo sucks
- too old
- teams with the best record in the nba usually dont win the finals
when the lakers made it to the finals (before we even knew who was going to represent the east) we heard:
- lakers are going to sweep any team out of the east
- lakers are taking this series in 5
- not only were they going to win the championship this year, but win for the next 2-3 years
now i expect to hear "if bynum played..." and the celtics are a dream team
im not bragging or rubbing it in anyones face but you cant sit there and say none of those things were said

WOOO...i told everyone the celtics were gonna win it from day one...this team had it all and is one of the most dominant teams since MJ and the bulls garnett, pierce, allen...the BIG 3 finally did it these were three guys coming together...none ever making it to the NBA finals and of course none ever winning a championship...so they came together with one goal in mind...WIN A RING!!! and they did just that and then some as they broke quite a few records this team was the WORST team last year and now...they literally went from worst to first...and yes it is true...ANYTHING can happen in the NBA, that's why i love it but let's not forget about the remainder of the team rajon rondo - this kid is only 22 and in his 2nd year in the NBA...everyone said that the celtics could not win a championship with him being their primary point guard...but over the year and tonight he proved them wrong...great job and kudos to him james posey - posey has got to bed one of my most favorite players ever...he's probably one of the best 6th man off the bench players ever...he has such poise and confidence and he puts his body on the line to get rebounds and steals...he's a great shooter and can easily knock a shot down from anywhere...he played a major role in the Finals this year just like he did in 2006 with the miami heat kendrick perkins - this guy plays with alot of emotions, the celtics needed a starting center as they had many big guys in mind, but he got the job done and was great defensively and often times offensively cassell, house, and pj brown - these are three great players that have been the NBA for quite a long time...two of them about to retire and one close to it...they all agreed to sign with the celtics for another go and they go just what they wanted...to be champions (cassell won one previously...this is his second) now for the BIG 3 KG - this man is a beast...he went through alot in minnesota, he has some ups (league MVP and making to the western conference finals) but none of that compared to what he feels tonight...he's finally a champion...what he felt in minnesota was just a tease, i think he is where he wants to be and where he wants to stay for the rest of his career ray ray - allen is just beatiful...i'm sorry but he is...lol...anyways...this man was in the same boat as KG...playing in seattle and not much to cheer for...he is probably the second greatest 3-point shooter in NBA history (right behind reggie miller) and he proved just that in the NBA finals as he broke the record for most 3 pointers in the finals with 22 and tied the record for the most threes in one NBA finals games with seven...he made a great case for finals MVP, but he did not get it...as it went to the next man down below.... paul pierce - wow...that's all i got to say...once again in the same boat as KG and ray ray...finally he has done it...he tried his hardest in boston for 10 years...lots of ups but alot more downs, he played amazing defense on kobe bryant (the league MVP) and shot at times even better than bryant...he went down with a leg injury in game one of the finals but came back stronger than ever...like i said, finally he has done it and is an NBA champion and also the Finals MVP anyone else who i have missed...they were surely great players as well...everyone played a key role and everyone is well deserving to be called champs CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2007-08 BOSTON CELTICS...YOU ARE THE NBA CHAMPIONS!!!!fiercedeity901
The most dominant team since the Bulls? This Boston team has one won freaking championship, and now they are the most dominant team since Jordan and the Bulls? Give me a break. I'll admit they came to play today and blew LA out of the water, however it took them 7 games to beat Atlanta and 7 games to beat the Cavs. So don't get ahead of yourself, they won their 17th championship in style tonight, but I don't think they are the most dominant team since the Bulls.

i meant in a season...and YES the did freakin dominate the regular season...sure they took awhile to get going in the playoffs...but they still had a very dominante defenseIf Bynum had played these Finals then the Lakers would have celebrated their Championship last Sunday. Next year we'll prove everyone wrong.
Just kidding, I'm so happy for Paul Pierce, KG, Ray Allen, Eddie House, Rondo, Perkins, Big Baby, Powe, PJ Brown (I was a big fan of his since he played quality ball for the Hornets) and the rest of the team. Except Scalabrine, to think that a lousy turd like him will carry a ring but so many greats never got one
Can't wait for the parade tommorrow, gonna be so much fun
lol...i thought u were serious there...haha...bynum would have made a difference, but not much...maybe a game 7 and yea i agree about scalabrine...i would say the same about scot pollard...but he can be good at times, but i only liked his game when he was with the pacers...lol oh...i really like ur rareware united thing btw....i would like to join...i love perfect dark and everything rarewareIf Bynum had played these Finals then the Lakers would have celebrated their Championship last Sunday. well defensive DOES win championships...but neutral site has nothing to it really...the lakers had a chance to take a 3-2 lead cause they had 3 home games in a row...but they blew one of them...kobe and the lakers have gone through this format 3 times...so i don't see what a neutral site has to do with anything[QUOTE="fiercedeity901"][QUOTE="baseballboy6411"]C's just have better D, thats all to it. Next year Lakers get it. If it was in a neutral site then it would have neen a better matchup.baseballboy6411
A nuetral site would be good because there would be no advantage to any1.
Oh here we go with the neutral site, because the Lakers just didn't have three games in a row at their own home court.

Well when you speak like that I start to think that Kobe isn't this so called next MJ or really the best player in the league when you think about it. He hasn't been able to win it with out a great supporting cast. Just goes to show you that guys like MJ are in a class of their own, but then again he also had Pippen, Grant, Paxon, so when it comes down to it no matter how good you are you need a TEAM to win.

You always need a good supporting class to win a championship, especially against a good defensive team. Look at what happened to Lebron last year, I think Kobe can still win won without Shaq and maybe Bynum will be the guy they need, who knows.
