I seriously cannot think of another sports game that comes close to this game. NFL 2K5 is one, but NBA 2K11 feels like it is on another level. The intro is insane with Jordan in the tunnel getting ready to come out. The production value is something special. Extremely well-done. The Jordan Challenges are also really fun. I also love how each Jordan Challenge has some specially made commentary for each challenge. Great graphics, mindblowing production value, controls that aren't overly complicated, and some really insane gameplay make this game one of the greatest, if not the greatest, sports game I have ever played, and I have played many sports game in my life. What does the rest of the Gamespot community think?

Great, now you've made me more hyped for this game. I don't remember the last time I paid full-price for a sports game but I think I'm going to for this.

I am in the same boat, but after hearing all the buzz for the last 2 weeks or so, it went from me buying just one game in October (EA MMA) to two (NBA 2K11 and EA MMA). So far, it was money well spent. I am watching my brother playing Team-Up online with a bunch of people. It is so cool watching it with 8 real players playing together online in one game.

Just bought it from Gamestop a little bit ago...I managed to play a half but I have to go to class now. From what I've played, it's amazing. Huge improvement over 2k10, and I thought that game was pretty solid.

Does NBA 2K11 have that option where you can create your own league and then have a draft and play a season and playoffs with your friends. Sorry, I forgot the name of this mode, but I believe it was in 2k10. It's almost like a fantasy league but you're actually playing.

Fantasy Draft? I don't know about online, but you can definitely do offline fantasy drafts...I haven't really gone online yet so I wouldn't know.

I really love this game. It's amazing how much detail they put into the gameplay, and the animations are so realistic.

Alright thanks. I thought there might have been online fantasy drafts, if you get a chance and get check online that would be great.

Just in case if anybody wants to buy the game online, go to newegg.com and type in the code EMCZYYS75- this would take 10 dollars off

so youll pay 49.99 instead of 59.99 ;)

So much improved over last season's game. Jordan Challenge is great, the AI plays solid defense even on Pro level, graphics look amazing on HD tv, and no frame rate issues noticed except once in a great while during training drills in My Player Mode. Finally, a basketball game that lives up to the man on the cover of the game. If you love basketball how can you not like this game, i don't know. I have played every 2K bball game since Iverson was the cover athlete, and this is by far my favorite one. Don't know how they could possibly top this next year.

I don't know where to start....

The fact that Jordan and the GREAT Bulls teams are in the game are great. The icing on the cake for me was seeing Payton and Kemp on the floor in those Supersonic jerseys!I finally feel like 2K Sports actually listened to us (gamers) this time. The only thing I can hope for next year (2K12) are more of the greatest teams. Hopefully this will be a reality. Till then I will enjoy one of the best BBall Sims ever created. I REALLY hope EA recognizes this, and gets there stuff together....

This game is just so amazing, the gameplay and defense has so much more depth this year, I am finally starting to really get good (;

My Franchise Draft looks like this:

PG: D.Collison

SG: Granger

SF: Durant

PF: Scola

C: Hibbert

Bench: Barea, Jason Richardson, Foster, Pryzbilla, Nick Collison and a few more.

Just loving how realisitic the gameplay is, no more ridicolous long passes all the time or dunks all the time, its so fun running plays and then playing defense, just love it.

This game is great! I do have to say though that I liked the Become Legendary demo more than the My Player on NBA 2K11. It's still fun, but I felt the setup on Become Legendary was better and it was more fun. Awesome game though!

Gamespot just put their review up and gave this an 8...maybe I'm being nitpicky but I think that's too low. NBA 2k9 got the same score and I'm so much more impressed with this than I was with NBA 2k9.

I have a feeling the guy who reviewed it isn't much of a basketball fan...the Jordan stuff "isn't much fun"? :? How can you watch the intro to this game the first time you start it up and think it's boring? I love how all of the old players actually play the way they used to play and having the announcers talk about the game like it's actually 1991/1998/whenever is a nice touch.

I'm not even sure how the Jordan stuff could be a complaint since it's not like they sacrificed anything else in the game to put it in. They made the rest of the game better and still included the Jordan thing as an extra. :|

I laughed at the line of the Jordan's games not being much fun. Unless the guy isn't a b-ball fan, playing as MJ and replaying some of the most historic and iconic moments in NBA history is so much fun. That review is really sad.

The Jordan Challenge alone is worth the price of admission. This game should of had a launch center, they didn't even put up a video review, this is why I pay for IGN and not Gamespot anymore, you have to question credibility. I guess 2K didn't give them any bribe money, like Eidos did, LOL.

They probably pulled the reviewer away from his obsession with World of Warcraft to review this game. I agree with the game being more polished and plenty of issues being fixed. This game is at least a solid 9, but I guess unless your Madden you have to be an 11 to earn a 9. There is just so much to do and everything is running so much smoother then last year's game, and we don't even need a patch yet. So how this game earned what past average entries in the bball world have earned is beyond me. Kind of made me wonder if we are playing the same game he reviewed. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Which is why I think IGN's review corps is way better than Gamespot's. They can give a kiddy game like Super Mario Galaxy 2 a 10 but give 2k11 an 8. They should be ashamed of themselves.

SMG 2 is definitely worthy of a 10, no matter how kiddy you think it is. Just because they're mediocre when it comes to reviewing sports games doesn't mean it's the same when it comes to other genres.

That's the problem, most of the reviewers are mediocre on here. Maybe SMG 2 is the best game ever to you, but I just find it absurd that the person who reviewed the game said that "replaying Michael Jordan's best games isn't much fun". That's just my two cents.

I bet the only reason95% of people bought the game was because of jordan, so  for saying jordan stuff isnt fun

this game was going to outsell NBA Elite with or without jordan and the quality of the game was going to be just as good. That gamespot review was the only review I've seen with someone saying the challenges with jordan wasn't fun. The Jordan challenges are great. The dude who did that review for GS probably isn't even a real basketball fan

I have played it quite a bit and it's fun. If you liked last years you'll like this years My Player mode. I will say that just from the demo, I think Become Legendary is a better mode though. You don't start out as such a scrub (My Player you start around 40 whereas in Become Legendary you start out around 70) and you don't miss nearly as many easy shots. It's still very fun, but I'm picking up NBA Elite 11 when it comes out just for Become Legendary because I think it is a more rounded experience than My Player. Plus, in My Player, you get dinged for a lot of stupid stuff that isn't always in your control and they will say something is a bad shot when it clearly wasn't. And seriously, why is my guy a 43 rated scrub going up against 70+ players? If my guy was going to be picked in either the first or second round, he would have to be at least a 60! That's just unfair.

Hmm...sounds pretty good I guess. I've never actually done this mode before....

Do you play D-League games? (I doubt it but it would be really cool :P)
