I am aware that MMA and the UFC are not very popular here. However this PPV has a lot of hype around because of this rivalry (Silva vs. Sonnen I and all of the trash talking from both individuals). There is a also a fantastic fight card as well. Anyone here excited for this event? Do you plan on watching it? Discuss. Main Fight Card: Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen. Main event for the Middle Weight Title Forest Griffin vs. Tito Ortiz (the third fight between the two. both individuals have one once. I have Sonnen for the win, but Sonnen on top does have the chance of being submitted. Silva has an underrated submission game.
Tito v Griffin will be a good fight, but in the grand scheme of things, who cares? Tito's retiring and Forest will never leave the middle of the division again before he retires.
I always like watching Cung Le fight, so I hope he gets the win.
I am rooting for Sonnen. He has made some valid points about Silva's game however he has also made a lot of rude and disrespectful things. However I don't think its going to be as one sided as the first fight. Aside from the main card I am interested in the Mike Easton and Chad Mendes fights.

I wasn't surprised by the result. Anderson Silva has always been leagues ahead of Chael - that match where he nearly lost was an exception in his career. Chael is inconsistent, Silva is one of the best and most reliable fighters in MMA - high accuracy, dodge-rate and knockout power incomparable to any other fighters.
I would just root for a good fight, but considering how Chael talks too much and fights 'too little' (compared to Silva, of course), and how his trash talk extended to people and groups entirely unrelated to Silva, I'm glad A. Silva trashed him so bad he'll think twice before asking for a rematch. He's still the best P4P fighter and probably the best martial artist ever seen.
