Breaking news, what do you think?

I think its a good pick up for the eagles. And Im glad to see Vick get another chance to continue his nfl career. He paid his dues to society and only ignorant people would continue to see the man suffer. I hope this helps the eagles win their division. Man I really hate the cowboys and would love to see them fall flat on their faces.
I'm I the only one that doesn't see how this benefits the eagles in any way, shape or form?
In other news, Stallworth will not play this year.
[QUOTE="DrakeNOwns"]Dang, we posted it about the same time, but atleast i gave details! It's a 2 year deal and he is going to play in the 3rd preseason deal. It's a slap in the face for McNabbdodgerblue13It's not like he's going to be competing for the starting QB position. He's going to be a playmaker who gives an added dimension to their offense. McNabb should be thankful for getting another weapon--and he will be.I agree. I like McNabb but hate how philly fans are so quick to always throw him under the bus when something goes wrong. When healthy he is easily a top 5 qb imo

I agree with everything in this statement.
i wanted to watch him fail badlt now thats kinda hard to do if he is failing my my favorite teamAndy really has a thing for bad QB's lol
Well this will be fun to watch one way or the other
He'll either do well and he'll be fun to watch or he'll do poorly and it'll be fun to watch him fail
Either way the fans win

[QUOTE="duxup"]Honestly, anyone picking him would be some level of a surprise. So how long until he does something stupid again?taj7575
What makes you think he's going to do something bad again?
I'd be worried about him falling back into drugs , heard he was a pothead.[QUOTE="taj7575"]

Besides, even Tony Dungy said he has changed a lot. Tony Dungy is a guy to trust.

Human nature.I have a feeling he isn't going to just be standing on the sidelines as a number-two QB. He's gonna get looks and touches in creative ways. This seeme like a stupid move. Like others have said, there's no way he's replacing McNabb. So you signed him as a backup, but you're paying a Vick-size salary for a backup QB? How much sense does that make?

Well , it's illegal. And if he gets caught .... his time in the NFL would probably be over for good because he's on thin ice as it is. Hope he sticks around , but that's what I'd be most worried about.I'd be worried about him falling back into drugs , heard he was a pothead.[QUOTE="Nike_Air"]

I agree, pot's never an issue unless a player gets tested. With other drugs you can see differences in their behavior, with pot they act normally and then test positive and all of the sudden they're troublemakers.

What makes you think he's going to something bad again? Tony Dungy has said he's seen change in Vick. Vick seems like he's learned his lession. Before the dogfighting case, Vick was pretty neutral off the field. I don't see anything bad from him in the future, and I really hope he has changed as a person.

Exactly. In a day, they can turn from normal people to the worst guy ever in the face of the media.

Because Coach Dungy ain't all knowing, his son took his life, and he had Tony as his father. So what makes YOU think that talking for a few hours with Vick can turn him unto a new person. No hating here, the work that Dungy does spreading the word of God is comendable but don't set your expectation too high.

He was 'pretty neutral'. besides, that story was not something that would cause a huge outroar over the NFL.
Yup, i think it would be funny if it blew up in their face. Can't wait till the fans start asking for Vick to start. This is gonna be funny.

-Well, that was one of the most ignorant posts I've seen in a while :|. If his son was acting perfectly normal, how did Dungy expect this to happen at all? Honestly, that was such a stupid post that it irks me :x
-It's not just a few hours, Dungy has been with Vick since he has gotten out of jail.
-I just trust Dungy for his honesty. He says Vick has changed, and he probably did. besides, I doubt after 2 years of jail, he will go do something stupid again..
here's the bottom line. The commissioner even told him when they met, that he is on a VERY SHORT LEASH. I'm not a Vick fan (not cause of his criminal activity, just thought he was extremely overrated), but one would have to believe that after ALL that has gone on with him over the past couple years, it would be nothing short of COMPLETE STUPIDITY for him to get in ANY kind of trouble. I expect him to be a model citizen for a long time, or at least until the cloud over him passes (which won't be anytime soon). If he messes up in any way, he's out the league for good. He knows that, he won't mess up

And the trend keeps going upward. Keeping in mind that Vick's case has extraordinary circunstance, I'm sure he has a special support group to help him deal with his situation and guide him trough life. But a guy who messed up when he was at the top of the world, then I would not be surprised if Vick trips now that he has hit rock bottom.
