I think it's a good choice. Their season is over and it's time to see if Young is their QB of the future. Your thoughts?

They need to trade someone to try and get a good draft pick and get a new QB. :?

Bout damn time. Seriously, although the season isn't entirely on Collins' shoulders it's obvious he isn't the franchise QB moving forward, it's time to see what VY's really made of and make a decision before you go around making huge changes. BTW,

Vince Young: http://www.nfl.com/players/vinceyoung/careerstats?id=YOU617196

Kerry Collins: http://www.nfl.com/players/kerrycollins/careerstats?id=COL620367

I'll admit he's no Peyton Manning, but I do find the willingness with which some people will rush to judgement on young QB's a little ironic. Some of the most renowned QB's had less than auspicious starts, Kurt Warner, Brett Favre, and John Elway to name a few.

What have they got to lose. It's time to see what VY can do before he's owed that roster bonus at the end of the season. It's obvious Collins isn't the answer so find out what you have in Young. If he doesn't work out, get yourself a new QB.

In many ways, the Titans are obligated to do this, but everybody already knows Vince Young cannot play quarterback in the NFL. It's already been proven. His was a skill-set that flourished at the college level; we see this all the time. He's a big guy with good mobility, and that's about it. As I said, the Titans have to do this, but we already know how it's going to turn out...

Quarterback play has been the least of the Titans problems. Young has already had is chance. He will never be a good quarterback in the NFL. His throwing motion is shot, he can't read NFL defenses and does not possess the leadership skills to be an NFL quarterback. I don't mind the move since the season is over, but Young is not the long term answer. If he was so talented, he would have been able to displace a career journeyman(and former 1st round pick) like Collins.

Finally......

no offense to Kerry collins but vince should've start a long time ago. I find it odd that a qb who leads his team from 2 - 7 to 8-8 in hsi rookie year (might not be exact but it was something like that) and the playoffs in his second season is considered a bust.... okay his stats are not great, but he still found ways to win

I mean if jamarcus is still starting Vince sure as hell better be. I think he got the raw end of the deal with being bench for collins. I mean collins was not the reason that titans tema went 13 - 3 last year, vince would had had similar success. I have no idea why fisher is in love with collins......he would've kept starting him if the owner did not insist vicne was played.

59% Completion Rating, 22 touchdowns, 33 interceptions, 6 lost fumbles(for a total of 39 turnovers) despite only having thrown the ball only 780 times in his career. Not great? Understatement of the year.

The Titans won in spite of Young: he often nearly cost his team games before the defense or the running game bailed him out. Youngs 18-11 win/loss record is the most over used and skewed stat in support of this guy.

Face it: spread option QB's don't make it in the NFL. Fellow Longhorn Colt McCoy will be a bust for the same reason.

I would argue that Collins IS the reason the Titans went 13-3 last year, but only because they went from one of the biggest turnover machines in the NFL to a caretaker QB who doesn't have to win the game, just not lose it.

I think his stats this week speak for themselves. People are so quick to give up on young QBs these days, unless they go to the playoffs and throw zero interceptions they're busts. QBs take time to develop, teams need to learn to be patient with young QBs and help them along.

He started 29 games. Thats more than enough to prove your value. And he didnt proved it.

And he's gotten better each year he's started. Like I said he's not elite, but he's good enough to be a starting QB. There are at least a few teams with more dire QB situations. Do you still draft a QB? Yes, but VY hasn't proven to be a total bust yet by a longshot. There are plenty of QBs whi have done worse and gotten the benefit of the doubt, and some of them went on to have some pretty nice careers.
