[QUOTE="MrBurns"]AP=All Day...now if they could just get a QB and some WRs. As a Vikings fan myself, it is nice to have some excitement back in their games again. duxup
I think they need to give Brooks Bollinger some time at QB. He may turn out to be passable. Unlike Jackson who has been staring down his receivers, and still can't hit them when they're open at times, Bollinger has at least shown some ability to check down.
That's why Vikings should really think hard about whether to win games now. There is a good number of good QBs and a real, deep threat receiver next year.

Are you talking about DeSean Jackson?
And among the QBs, only Brian Brohm and Woodson is really good. And neither will be in their range most likely.

What about Tebow and Matt Ryan? And you can't forget the potential Heisman, Dennis Dixon.Tebow is a sophmore. He won't be coming in the draft. Matt Ryan won't come either I think. And even if he does, I don't think he'll be a first round QB.manningbowl135I'm pretty sure Matt Ryan will come to the draft. I think he can still be a 1st rounder or 2nd rounder. And just because you're picked in the 1st round doesn't mean you'll be a great QB.

I know. Heck Trent Edwards has become the future of Buffalo in place of a 1st rounder. Clemens has take over for Chad...another 1st rounder. But in the NFL draft, if someone has legitimate potential for even above average QB, he's a sure-fire 1st rounder. I don't think Matt has that.
On the point of QBs in next year's draft, although it's a very different offense, that he runs, Colt Brennan of Hawaii deserves some recognition in my opnion.
To be honest, I think there's at least 5 or 6 good QB prospects coming out next season. Brohm, Woodson, Ryan, Brennan, Matt Flynn, and even Pat White, possibly. That's just off the top of my head. Plus, the possibilty of Tebow, as well.

Brady and Romo Disagree. Goiod Quaterbacks just take more chances and are not scared to throw into windows.[QUOTE="manningbowl135"]I'm pretty sure Matt Ryan will come to the draft. Brady and Romo Disagree. Goiod Quaterbacks just take more chances and are not scared to throw into windows.Exactly. People think guys like Vince Young or Michael Vick with other-wordly athleticism and arm make the best QBs, but the the two most important thing to being a good QB is Awareness/preparedness and accuraccy.
Can you imagine if Cleveland would have selected Adrian Peterson?? They'd have one of the best 3 WR's in the league, one of the best 3 TE's in the league, and one of the best 3 RB's in the league - and all would be young! In addition, they'd have Brady Quinn waiting in the wings to take over a high powered offense!! I know it sounds crazy but the Browns are for real.dgrundei
Nope. Cleveland made the right choice in picking a good lineman. Why? Because you can't replace a O-lineman just like that, but RB is the most replaceable position in football and this is not a joke. Just look at the Patriots and Colts, Kenton Keith can play like a starter while Faulk and Sammy Morris can also.

Brady and Romo Disagree. Goiod Quaterbacks just take more chances and are not scared to throw into windows.Wait you misunderstood me. My point is based on what we know of Ryan right now, his potential is not good enough to make him a first round pick. Brady and Romo became good after they came into the league. When they were drafted and not drafted, their performance justified their draft position. Based on what people knew about them back then, they were just those picks. Based on what we know of Ryan right now, he's not projected to be a franchise QB. In this NFL, if he was, he'd be a top 10 pick.
LT didn't have the Single game Rushing record jamal set it again this year and before him it was Cory Dillion. LT is still a better player than AP and will be forever, AP is a good player but he's so aggresive you can count on him getting injured.I have to admit he looks great but to crown him king before the seasons over is stupid, look how explosive Reggie Bush was last year, now this year is he the same explosive player? we'll see next year if AP is foreal.(Not saying he's not good, i just like lettingt the season pass to evaluate players not the first 10 weeks)peacebringer
Bush didn't do a whole lot until the end of the season last year. Of course it's different this season because of the injury to McAllister, where he can't be moved around quite as much. Still, Reggie Bush's success came mainly as a receiver in open space. Of course Bush's numbers aren't going to be quite the same, since he has to be rushing the ball a lot more.
By the way, Jamal's 295 game was actually a couple of seasons ago, not this year (He was in Baltimore, although he did have a 200 yard game this year.). I wouldn't say it's stupid to crown him king when he has the rushing lead by nearly 300 yards, and he's averaging 6.6 per carry (for RBs with at least 70 carries, Brandon Jacobs is next closest with 5.6). It was stupid to crown Reggie Bush king as soon as he got drafted. In only 3 more carries than Bush had all of last season, A.P. has nearly twice as many rushing yards as Bush had. Matter of fact, AP has more career rushing yards than Reggie Bush already (1,036-999). I say, "CROWN HIS @**!!!"
Peterson has talent, but mark my words, he won't finish the season playing like that. I don't wish injury on anyone, but that guy is too reckless. He's been injury-prone his whole life, and the NFL won't be any different.murlow12I hate to quote myself, but this one was so easy to call. He's going to have to change his running style to have a successful career in the NFL.
Peterson injured
Everyone has been saying that, but how is he "reckless"? I haven't watched him all that much even when he was in college, so can anyone tell me why his running so reckless? I mean when I think reckless I think of players like Maroney and Barber who just likes contact.
Peterson is worse than those guys. Just look at the video of the game when he broke his collarbone in college. He dove into the endzone for no reason, resulting in injury. If you watch him play for 20 or more snaps you will see what I'm talking about (I watched the entire Chargers/Vikings game).Everyone has been saying that, but how is he "reckless"? Thanks. I guess I will youtube him to see what he's like.
Wonder how long and how much this new injury will affect him. Was too early by some to annoint him the rookie of the year too. If he comes back and dominates, then he is the favorite.
But if not, there is another one. Watching sportscenter today and they mentioned Joe Thomas of the browns as a favorite too. Stat I did not know he had - 0 sacks allowed by him.

Bowe is not a bad choice either. He's on-pace for over 1000 yards.
